I have owned this car since 1999, when I purchased it the car did not run, had 8 previous paint jobs, and had been sitting for about seven to ten years. The paint (originally brown/purple) was completely removed and redone, the interior was stripped and new carpet and upholstery were installed (new leather for the front buckets, shifter boot and on the steering wheel, the existing leather was in good condition on the rear seats, and the rest of the upholstery is synthetic leather).

I have removed all emissions controls (EGR, smog pump, and catalitic converter), replaced any worn suspension components, rebuilt the transmission, hand polished the original wheels, and installed a short throw shifter. I know now that I should have spent more on a nicer car because I have really paid for that mistake, but I was young and in love with this car.

So lately I have been working my ass off replacing parts so I can get my car out this summer (it hasn't left the garage for 3 years now) and post some new pictures. The problem is every time I start working on something I decide to replace or upgrade something else.

I installed the SS braided brake lines and thought I might as well make the ugly calipers look a little better so I used Eastwood High Temp Brake Caliper paint. I think they turned out alright.

Well I have been having trouble all summer trying to get this piece of #@$* to run properly. I believe the problem to be a vacuum leak and after trying several things I have finally gotten fed up and am in the process of replacing anything within the intake and fuel injection that could be the cause.

Oh and here is my new Momo shift knob on my short shift lever.

Also this summer I have replaced the following:
- Distributor cap and rotor
- Spark plug wires
- Bosch high performance coil
- NGK spark plugs
- Bosch alternator
- Battery
- Fuel filter
- Power steering rack
- AC blower fan
- Brake fluid
- Oil and filter
- Many other little things

Well I believe I have solved the rough idle problem, I thought since I have my injectors out I might as well have them cleaned and ckecked. After having them checked it turns out none of them are firing the same pressure and one isn't working at all! So the guys at 928 International are sending me out a whole new set and with a little luck it will run like new when I fire it up (fingers crossed).

I reassembled my intake and injection last night and after lots of screwing around with the mixtures my car idles. The air/fuel ratio is way out due to all the adjusting I had done previously and I removed the vac-limiter. I still have to do some more adjusting because it doesn't rev smoothly (lots of backfiring).

Ok last night I changed the cold start injector and the fuel regulator, and I still I can't get the mixture right(backfiring).

It's winter now and once again the project is on hold for a few months ( Although I am considering a 928motorsport supercharger kit). When it does finally get nice out I will make one last attempt to make the car run right before I take it to someone, I hate having to go to a garage my car hasn't been to one for 8 years now and that was for suspension work.

Well it's summer and I still haven't got my car out of the garage. I am installing a 928Motorsport crankcase oil baffle system and am waiting for my 928Specialist twin electric cooling
fan. I would love to drive my car this year, I just have to quit taking it apart!
