There is NO way that car is making anything near 285FWHP. I not a Honda hater, in fact my Civic would have made those guys cry if I ever pulled next to them (before it was stolen and I bought my MR2 that is). I have been building engines for nearly 10 years 8 of which were with hondas. Given the mod list of what they have in that Civic I would estimate that they MAYBE have 180-200FWHP. Nothing more, thats for sure. AND for that 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds? Complete BS. Thats a low 14 second/high 13second car with street tires. That gives it maybe a 5+ second 0-60. With street tires we are talking (witha great driver) a 2.2 second 60 foot time. Not even CLOSE to what is needed for a sub 4 second 0-60. Did I mention NOT EVEN CLOSE? I had a 2000 Civic Si, completly rebuilt with ab rand new B18C5 motor. Compression was upped to 11.5:1, titanium retainers and upgraded springs, 70mm throttle body, Skunk Stage 2 cams were put in, Exedy STage 2 clutch w/ 8lb flywheel, it was tuned on the dyno using a Hondata, JDM ITR 4-1 header, spoon intake manifold, 2.5" exhaust w/ 2.5" test-pipe (no cat), 3" carbon fiber intake... and that was just the engine mods. I also had an 01 ITR 5spd transmission, 1.5 way limited slip, & phelonic header and intake spacers. The car had a curb weight of 2530lbs. On 91 pumpo gas I was making 223FWHP and 182 ft-lbs of torque. Fuel cut was set to 9200RPM. On street tires it ran a best of 13.8@105MPH with a 2.1 second 60' time. This was at sea level. i PROMISE you that my car would have eaten this Bullrun civic for lunch and would have had room for more. The numbers floating around in regards to this car on this site are complere, 100% bullshyte. -joe BTW, I gafve up on FWD and no torque. My 91 SW20 MR2 is putting down a respectable 325RWHP and 286ft-lbs of tq. Ive run a best of 12.8 seconds in the 1/4 mile.
