I think it's funny how we all get a car and have to do that one or two silly mods that we all know now it's ugly or just plain wrong on a certain car. Let me bring back some memories when I first bought the car. Most mods are either completely gone because of ugliness, or because other performance options have been added. Most lights are still on though, except for those nozzle lights. :)
AEM's Cold Air Intake & Painted Battery and Coil Pack Cover: The green was the first to go! After that, when the Supercharger was added, the CAI was removed and sold. One thing I do miss is the whistling sound when you here the air being sucked in. Sounded bad-ass.
Hoen's Fog Light Bulbs: I upgraded the foglights so that they would mach the HID that I had intalled. White on white always looks better. There is a famous mod amongs the focus fanatics of the world, and that is taking the relay out that controls the foglights on/off capabilities when you turn the lights on or off. All you have to do is bridge a wire. That way, you can have your headlights off, and still keep your fog-lights on.
Painted Eye-lids On Headlights: Before I changed Hella's EAP HID, I painted some eyelids. It took a while to get it right, but in the end it fell right in. I think it came out well.
Hella's European Appearance Package HID Head Lights: A considerable upgrade, and a fan of most fanatics, this illusive set can cost anybody around $500-$900.00. I got lucky and paid $475. A custom harness had to be fabricated from some Volvo parts.
After they were installed I replaced the city lights, and blinkers with APCs Icy Hot, White Bulbs. What a perfect match they made!
Since the brights and low beams were 2 separate bulbs, I went ahead and made a jumper wire so that the brights and low beams can be on at the same time.
Heller's Tail Lights: The tail lights came all the way from France. I was about the 5th customer to have theses...This was before they had a website.
Opt-X 9" Neons Under The Dashboard & LED Under-Car Kit: This was pretty much the second mod I did. I really don't have to many pictures from when I first had it installed. But here some newer pictures from 2006 era.
Painted Calipers & EBC Break Pads: In bad need a of replacement, I had to change out the breaks. I upgraded from stock to EBC Green Stuff. So far they have worked wonders. I noticed great stopping power when I am at high speed. It's great!
