I'm in the United State Marine Corp and every semi-annual FY we have to qualify with our M-16A-2 Rifles. So I did just that on Parris Island. Our armory on the Air Station has a small parking lot, so spaces fill up quickly. I show up early to get one of those bonus spot. On the driver side, nothing but grass and a palm tree; so I parked as close to the grass as possible.
Later on in the day, while I am actually shooting my rifle, the Staff Non-Fire comes up to me and asks, "Do you own a silver focus?" I replied, "yes Staff Sergeant; what happened?" (SSgt)
He goes on to tell me that a Bus hit my car. "WHAT!", I said. Out of all the days, here I am on the range doing my best to get expert while at the same time I have visions of a bus hitting my car. On the last leg of the rifle range I get 9 out of the 10 shots on the 500 yeard line and got a 40, which is expert on the old qualing system.
I immediately get on another bus back to the Air Station (MCAS Beaufort) to meet up with PMO to do the paper work and check out what happened.

Corproal (Cpl) Henry of the VMFA-533 illegally parked a bus on a grassy area. Guess where that grassy area was at?! You got it! What happened, was that he was backing up and managed to hit my car and pushing it into another car, which was pushed into another car. A total of 5 cars in all were damaged from this one fool, who did not use an Assistance Driver to back him up, nor did he even think about where he was parking.
It took almost a year to get my money from the government to get this fixed.

So now I am the stupid one. Here I am on recruiting assistance getting ready to pick up Sergeant(Sgt). I'm on my way to the station from my hometown, when I spotted this Black SRT-4 poking out of a wooded covered driveway.
I've seen this guy before, but don't know him personally. We were definately going to be heading in the same direction. I knew it already. At this time, my car had the stock 2.0 SVT engine it, with no Forced Induction of any type.
After seeing him, I quickly made the turn onto Rt 4 and being accelerating at an un imaginable speed. It wasn't even maybe about 5 minutes later this guy is on my arse. Maxing out on my speed, the SRT-4 passes me with ease using his turbo supplied car. hahaha. At this point we were having some fun. That is...
until this sharp turn comes up. The max speed on the curve is 45mph. Picture yourself out in the corn fields with no body out there. As we were getting ready to make out turn, I knew both of use were going to fast for this. We both applied out breaks and graceously started to power drift, but the curve was to tight and we both slid right into the corn fields! Luckly they were already harvest! OUCH.
I damaged my front A-Arm with some minor scratches to the front bumper. So no pictures for this one, but I definately learned my lesson on this one. And an expensive one it was!

My car is in the final stages for having the new engine put in along with the Pro Charger supercharger. It's 4am, and me and my wife just drove back from Savannah, GA after the New Year's celebration there. As we were coming home on a straight away, it began to drizzle a but causing roads to become slick.
I continue driving, and realized I was going 20 over the speed limit, as this is my daily driving habits, but at night I need to be more careful. I have a thing for slowing down using the E-brake once in a while. But this time was one time to many. I pulled the brake too hard, I heard the wheels locked up and immediately released the e-brake. BUT it was TOO LATE!.
The car's rear end swung around, and did two 360s acoss a 4 lane road divied by a turn lane, almost hitting some small this reflector post. After the 3rd 360, the car hit the curb ont he opposite side of the road facing the wrong direction! The car jumped the curb ripping out the passenger front wheel, axil, and strut right off the frame and tranny. Once again another expensive fix and more waiting time before I could head to Focus-Power for the new mods. Sorry no pictures.
February 2007
It's only been 3 days since I just received my Procharged 2.3 Stroker engine installtion from Focus-Power, and I managed to hit a curb at slow speeds.
The thing is...I wanted a parking spot! I was still getting use to the new Clutchmasters Stage IV 4 puck clutch, as it's very grabby. The parking spot was on the opposite side of the 2 lane road.
I turned the car around quickly and managed to hit the brakes NOT hard enough. Since the ProCharger C-2 unit on the focus sits a measily 1-2in below the bumper line, the Supercharger hit the curb causing some major damages to the bracks, bolts and the C-2 unit itself. I didn't know about the damages until about a week later. The car seemed fine and everything was good. The A/F was the same too for what the damages were.

I went ahead and ordered the new expensive parts from ProCharger in May, and amazingly my C-2 unit was still covered under warranty! I had them replace the bearings and internals. It wasn't even a week before I received it back with 4 bottles of oil and extra oil seals. How generous! So now the
ProCharger is 100% working again!

Other than being 777, what an amazing night I had in Charleston, SC. Pfff!
It's 2:45am, just 15minutes shy of all the clubs closing. I only had 1/2 a corona, as the wife drank the rest. I really didn't feel like driving that night. I had a long drive the next day to Charlotte, so Focus-Power can install my new FMIC and get a new tune for it.
I'm on East Bay St, driving in the right hand lane, minding my own business, talking to the wife. This group of crotch-rockets come creeping up slowly. The 3 were all cool, simple thumbs up what not. Then this guy from the rear end of the back decided to speed up and cut in front of me. What Jack ass! He wasn't wearing any protective gear at all. I don't feel sorry for him.
Anyways...a car in from of him stops all of the sudden to make a right turn. The biker notices it at the last moment and brakes hard, I had to do the same, and rear ended his ass up and over his rear wheel with his fender over my hood.
The car started sliding as both front wheels were off the ground. We kept going until his bike slid off to the left. I watched out my rear-view mirror and saw him get back up and take-off!!! Hit & run and I don't even have a liscense plate number. Damn.
So here are the damages made because of his stupidity.

The repairs are comeing along well! Mike from Hilbish Ford in Konaplis/Concrod (Charlotte), NC got me a nice deal on the SVT Bumper Kit and sent it with the fastes shipping possible.
I also ordered replacement H10 Hoen Foglamp bulbs, My original came out of the sockets and broke. Suprisingly, my HIDs still work! Despite I was able to order new ones. If you look at the above picure, you can tell that there is a nice dent on the lense cover on the driver side HID. And there are no tabs to hold the light secure.
The fiber glass hood has been repaired. And Saturday (21st) I'm trailering my car up to Focus-Power to begin the internal engine repairs! So far things are running along smooth!

Now is the time get the car ready to go! Today (July 21st) Me some friends pushed the car up onto the trailer and tightened her down. I think it is still a shame that I do not know anybody with a truck and/or trailer to use. So here I am toughing it out in a U-haul!...LOL
Other than that, my prize for winning the Focus Fest 2008 Poster contest came in! A new plate frame and some go-fast stickers! Thanks Focus Fanatics.com!
