Ok took the camaro out to fill the tank as gas is cheaper now and found out the trans is acting up not shifting out of first. I went searching the net and hopefully one fix is that the governor is bad or sticking after stilling so long so thats the next project.

New Trans? Just Pull everything now?
I pulled the cover off the Governor the gear seems fine but the springs and the "wings" seem soft and flop around so going to pick up a new one and see what happens also discovered there are NO BOLTS in the rear trans mount and it looks like they been missing for a while
Well it looks like I have to replace the transmission
Well 3 more bolts and out and it comes. looks like someone eather has replaced or messed with the trans seeing the tork converter bolts were not very tight and one was on a angle. I am thinking the last owner was thinking about replaceing the front seal and thought he could do it without pulling the trans HA HA not going to happen in this chevy no room but almost out it's damn cold now here in chicago had a 47deg day today
so figured I would do some work on it before me and the wife go out
