Hey there, I bought this beautiful 2003 Hyundai Tiburon in July of 06 and it has been a great hobby to upgrade. After some time and money here is what I've put on the whip so far in the about order in which they were installed:
- Cold Air Intake
- Magnaflow Dual Exhaust ( removed cats and regs ie. straight pipe )
- 15" Memphis Audio Subwoofer and Custom Trunk Enclosure. The box is the entire trunk of the car and covered in black leather vinyl. Sub is powered by a Xplore 1200 watt amp with a 1.5 farat capacitor
- Clarion USB Deck
- Amber Underbody LED kit
- Flame Exhaust kit
- Arctic White headlights. high/low/fog
- 17" Konig Unknown's wrapped with Kuhmo Tires

Ok so I will take some time to describe in detail (as much as I can remember) my mods. The Intake, CD Deck, Exhaust, and window Window Tint were all accomplished within a week of purchasing the vehicle.

This is my first mod I made to the tibby, a cold air intake i bought from ebay. Believe it or not, it fit right in and sucks harder than a starving malasian prostitute.

There is something about the Magnaflow sound that has always caught my attention. I've installed this exhaust system in 2 of my vehicles and now a third. First was a 1989 Mazda B220 Pickup. It made that 1.8L engine sound like a V8. Second, i installed it on the 1999 Ford F-150 Nascar Edition. Truck came stock supercharged so when the exhaust roars on that car it now sounds like it still belongs on the track. Lastly, the 2003 Hyundai Tiburon. I took it upon myself to make this project the loudest sexiest sound I could possibly create. Removed the catalytic converter and the regulator that came stock under the body and went with straight 3.5" pipe from the headers. You can hear me coming from 3 blocks away. On a side note, .NO it does NOT sound like a damn weedwhacker engine.

Next I went shopping for a pioneer sort CD/DVD in dash player. As soon as I got to PEI Audio in FWB, FL it was brought to my attention that Clarion had just released a CD player that had a USB port located on the front of the deck so that when you pop a USB thumb drive in, it automatically detects the audio files and can play them. New to me, no more burning CD's that get scratched and blah blah blah. I ended up with this fine peice of technogoly and thats that. The video screens will have to wait.

So being a contresiuer of all types of music, I wanted to make sure I had the right beat. I previously owned a 15" Memphis Audio subwoofer and installed that beast in the trunk. The box it was in was build to fit perfectly in the cab of my Mazda so when I put in in the trunk of the Tib i had some issues. 1) It was ugly as sin. 2) It didnt properly fit in the back, the hatchback of the tib always bumped against the top of the box. 3) Did I mention it was ugly as hell?

So something obviously had to be done. I went over to my car club buddies house one night and created a monster. We built a brand new box of MDF, Liquid Nails, screws, and black leather vinyl. The end result was that i no longer have a trunk in this car. From the back seats to the end of the trunk is pure airspace for the 15. I must say, its a damn beautiful thing.
