Update January 16th
Few things to post here:
Picked up the rear third, all rebuild and ready to go w/ the lockright.
Picked up my case of amsoil synth drivetrain fluids from scott. Got enough to do my diffs, tranny and t-case.
Got some proper brass fittings to do the extended diff breather on the front diff, since I have the diff out to change it I might as well put it in. I also got one for the rear since I cheaped out and didnt buy the proper fitting ( couldnt find them at any stores) Had to do to Alder auto in langley to buy them. Long way to go for a 5 dollar purchase.
Front and rear diffs are going in tomorrow, as well as all the drivetrain fluids.
Taran called, my bumper is in and ready to be modified. I have to drop the truck off next wednesday and it will be done by the next day.
*update jan 17th*
Rear diff + locker is installed
All amsoil fluids are installed
Front diff has been put on hold till I get home from the island next week. We got shut down by the light unfortunatly.
*update Jan 24th*
Back from my trip to the island, truck ran great. Great MPG and the locker was awsume.
Hopfally I will be able to do the front diff on friday, I got a buyer for my stock diffs already!
Update, got my sliders and rear bumper done. Painted them on friday.
Preped and ready to spray
first coat
DONE!
Used tremclad gloss black and duplicolour prep pads.
*Update*
Installed my front diff and extended breather.
Got some nice weather so I decided to detail my truck.
Interior vacuumed, cleaned
Exterior washed, dried, clay bar'd, polished/buffed.
*Minor update*
Got some free blue lights, put them in my side markers.
Removed the pedal covers since they prevent the clutch from completely going down to the floor. They also made the gas and brake pedal way to close. Sucks, they made the pedals less slippery.
*Small update* April 5th 2008 *
I got a shipment of LEDs from superbrightleds.com. I wanted to switch over my dash lights from green to blue, and replace the free side marker lights I got (they turned a greenish colour).
The light for my tach is broken so its not lighting up everything, but I got another shipment of lights comming so I can change over a few more things, aswell as change over my girlfriends 4runners dash lights.

*Update, may 1,2008*
Small update. I have not been doing much to the truck due to lack of funds. I did however rebuild my OEM idler arm and got a Downey brace for it.
*update, May 15th, 2008*
I did a little work to the truck today:
I made a new intake tube from 3" exhaust tube
I made a 1.5" lift LSPV valve bracket
We also made a new tailpipe for the truck from canadian tire tube, and a 16" boom tube. It sounds GREAT now!
Some updates. I havent been doing much due to lack of money. I did pick up some steel grate and I made a new custom grill using the spare 4runner grill I got. I will be remaking it with my good pickup grill and all the chrome will be painted black.
I also replaced my steering pump after it failed on my as I was leaving my block.. That was a fun two days with no power steering! Good thing I bought a used pump a few days earlier.
Stage one is complete! Chrome is almost all gone.
Summer is finally here, washed and polished the truck. Hopfally it will stay nice for a little while before I get the truck filthy.
Stage two complete, mirrors and window trim done:
Update *July 20th 2008*
I replaced my radiator the other day. Old one was really messed up. It had been leaking from the top for about a year and a half. No biggie I figured, just leaking a few drops a day.
Well I finally got a new (used) radiator the other week. I gave it a quick coat of hi-temp paint, flushed it out and went and got some toyota red coolant and a big bottle of distilled water.
So the other day I dove into the repair...
The new (used) rad, new shroud that I bought a few months ago, coolant, water and a container to hold the old coolant.
The old setup, note the top of the rad. Corrosion has eaten throught he metal, letting coolant out and stripping the paint off. At first I thought this was the extent of the damage...
Boy was I wrong... It was literally falling apart to the touch!
A comparison...
Old stuff removed..
The nice new stuff installed!
Flushing the rad with tap water. Its running 50/50 mix of toyota coolant and purified water.
This should help my truck run cooler!
