As reported yesterday, hot rod visionary Boyd Coddington died early Wednesday morning. Host of TLC's American Hot Rod and winner of numerous awards for his designs, his death at 63 was premature and unexpected. His company has released a statement stating that Coddington was "a long-time diabetic" who "died from complications that were brought on from a recent surgery." Honestly, we find this a bit vague, but now is the time to remember Boyd Coddington.
So we decided to park her for a while and really do some work to it..i'm planning on putting a 289 or a 302 small block in it..preferably a 4-speed manual but will settle for automatic..i'm gonna put a stronger rear end in it so it can handle the power..switch to 5 lug axles all the way around and buy some 14'' or 15'' cragar ss's and some mini tubs..if anybody has any tips or suggestions feel free to tell me ..thanks for lookin at my car

a poem i like
Twas the night before Christmas and caught at the light,
Was an 03' Cobra Coupe and no cops in sight,
I will try, I will try, I will try with this small motor,
To beat this darn Cobra, even with it's big power,
As the light goes green and I pull like no joke,
The Cobra erupts in clouds of tire smoke,
Now Smasher, now Rev-ver, now Stroker, now Blitzin,
These are the names of my four VTEC pistons,
Racing ahead I'm the Star of the Action,
But I know I'm in trouble when that Cobra gets traction,
Grabbing second, I hear the RPM sing,
My mirror is blocked by my Shopping Kart Wing,
I now hear the roar, of that big monster gaining,
All I can do is keep that four-banger straining,
In a second, the shockwave hits with a blast,
And my stickers go flying now, a thing of the past,
Don't bother with third, cause now it's too late,
Just try to act cool, like you can relate,
Looking up at the taillights as they get smaller,
The driver backs off just to give me a holler,
"You can't win them all," he says in fling,
"You may not win any, in that silly thing",
I scowled and revved and let out a sigh,
And did my trademark high-speed ricer fly-by.
