UPDATE, November 2007: This project has halted, and many of the mods are being transferred to two other Stratus' that I've bought recently. One is a black 2000 SE that will be my new daily driver with just a few mods. The other is a red 2000 ES that will receive most of my modding attention, and will be a dedicated show car/weekend cruiser. See my main page to check those cars out. This 1996 Stratus will become my wife's daily driver now. Still, feel free to check out the fun I had with it over the past several months (page 5 especially)!

This is my newest acquisition. I was seeking a good daily-driver to allow my F150 4x4 to stop wasting so much fuel on the long ride to work. I didn't have much to spend, and eventually found a nice light-green '96 stratus for $1100...but being totally stock and dull, I plan to make a few mods. Thankfully, the body is straight and rust-free (including the hood's edge).

The following photos were the ones in the eBay auction, and they make the car look more blue than green.

The interior needs a good cleaning up.
