
Here is my 1975 2 door mk1 escort. I have finally got the 1600 in the car. I have put in a GT spec camshaft, 40thou oversize pistons and installed a formular ford head which has been ported with GT valves. I have also put in a heavey duty clutch, mk2 front discs, calapers, struts and steering rack. The old clutch and 1600 didn't last too long so have now put a racing clutch in and bought an ex hillclimb bottem end with a lumpy cam. Put it on the dyno and got 72rwhp and 92hp at the flywheel. have now put on Toyo proxis RA1 race tyres and have competed in afew circuit and hillclimb events. Next to be installed is fully adjustable front suspention and a three row radiator.
