This is a showcase for my currently shoddy interior. I've installed cavalier bucket seats, painted some of the hard plastic parts and installed a stereo system. Soon enough I'll have carpet instead of the nasty rubber mat.
I've currently got 2 8" Audiobahn subs powered by a 400 watt, 2-channel Audiobahn amplifier. I am considering at least getting new subs. I am running a Pioneer DEH-3800MP deck.
I decided the gray was too fucking boring. So I painted some parts. The arm rests, dash speaker grills, glove box door, and the dash bezel. Parts were cleaned, prepped with Bulldog adhesion promoter then sprayed with 3-4 coats of black interior paint. The glove box door WILL be redone, it looks like shit.
Now for the Cavalier seats. Pulled them from a 2001 cavalier and mounted them to bucket tracks from another s10. Charcoal fabric goes with the interior quite well.
Bought some blue LED's from www.superbrightleds.com. I really like the dome light but I wish I would have bought brighter bulbs for down under the dash. Regardless, it looks pretty nice. Pictures don't do the lights any justice, you just HAVE to see it for yourself.
I was inspired by someone on www.s10forum.com to polish my door handles and my window cranks. So far I only have one crank done. Sanded with 220, 320, 400, wetsanded with 800 and 1,000 then polished with some Mothers aluminum polish. Here are the pics
Decided to smooth some of the pieces of my interior to give it that 'glassed look. Started out pretty good. Bottoms of my doors and the dash bezel will be done relatively soon.
Fuse panel is all sanded and primed. The dash bezel needs about 15 minutes worth of sand time before it's ready to be primed.
Bezel is done and in. Should be starting the bottoms of the door panels here pretty soon.
Driver side door panel is smoothed out now. Im gonna be making a template here pretty soon to make map pod covers. Those will probably be wrapped in gray to give more of a two-tone effect.
Most of the parts are now painted. Paint is black metallic. I'll let the pics speak for themselves but trust me, the pieces are better in person.
I had my one grandfather take my headliner and sun visors and re-upholster them for me. They came out better than I thought they would. I give 'em 2 thumbs up.
Got a center console out of a Blazer at the local boneyard, cost me a whopping $35. As soon as I finish up the school year, I'll be sanding the console smooth and painting it like the rest of the interior parts I've done.
