here is the engine in it...there are at least three holes in the oil pan and one in the block...previous owner did a good job on this one
here is the starter, the connecting rod hit this pretty hard apparently...it'll buff out right?

nice shiny new block under all that nastiness
so i now have a turbine housing to fit my manifold!
installation of the intercooler
test fitting the turbo to make sure all is well
video of trying it out
the mod to the alternator bracket i had to make to get the manifold to fit
TURBO IS ON!! the downside is that the turbo leaks oil like a sieve with a hole in it. salvage yard turbo here i come
alright saab turbo from the salvage yard. its a t3 .42/.48 AR turbo, same as the old one, but from a saab. got that puppy mounted on there and she runs like a raped ape. pictures...
here is where my downpipe ends

i got a flowmaster put on today..sounds much much better. no pictures but i do have a video/sound clip deal...check my video page
finally some new engine pics..heres my intercooler piping and intercooler
so, i broke the engine running 18 psi on pump gas(i should have known). well i got the engine apart finally and found this
seems to have scored the cylinder walls a little bit but it honed out of there pretty well.
Well, it's all back together, I've got about 1100 miles on the engine as of this point in time. Naturally, its time to start upgrading again.
Picked this manifold up from a buddy of mine.
It is made for a DSM and modified to fit the CVH engine. Looks like it should work pretty well.
I also picked up a 1.6 head that should be here in the mail any time now. I'll make sure to post some pictures when I do.
Well, after buying the 1.6 head, I found a NOS 1.9 carburated head, for about 20 bucks. I picked that up as well. It will raise my compression ratio to a more usable level, still have the big valves plus a Crane cam has found its way into my life that is designed for a 1.9 head. Yay! So, to go along with this brand new head, I bought new valves, springs and lifters to go with it, along with a Spesso Kevlar head gasket to keep things sealed up. A couple pics of the new head as it sits. There will be some port work done on it, as well as some cleaning up of the combustion chamber.
New turbo manifold is on. I need to re-do the charge piping, but for now here it is.
Check the video page for a video of it running
So, I started porting on my NOS cylinder head today. So far so good. I just need to clean up two ports with some sand paper and they will be done. Then I only have 6 more to go...
Alright, porting still isn't done, but I got some new goodies in the mail today, so I figured I better show them off.
Got a nice shiny new Spec Stage III clutch and got it put in.
New heat shield made to protect my hood from the heat of the turbo.
I am going to need another page for engine mods before too long!
I seem to have blown up the engine agian, I was racing a 280z with a 350 in it(570z?). I spun a rod bearing, ovaled out the rod so that engine will be retired for now. I got another engine put in it now, just a stock HO engine with high compression pistons. I guess I will find out soon what it is like to have high compression and turbo eh?
I got the opportunity to try out a prototype set of roller rockers made by harland sharp. I want to extend a HUGE thank you to Kevin(Old86EXP) from FEOA for giving me this opportunity and also for getting the ball rolling on this. I have the Crane cam in the head now along with these, so it should be fun. I am currently waiting on some funds for a set of new lifters to go on the cam, however I should have those very soon.
It is finally running again! See video on page five.
