This car is based on former Champion Motorcars Frame and -96 Mazda Miata drivetrain. As you can see it is equipped for Road Racing and is frequently run in NASA KCC class in South-East Region and it also is DMod Class Champion with SCCA Atlanta Region.
The car was first run in 2005 and it has seen continuous development since. Frame stiffening, suspension tweaking, little motor bolt-ons, safety items etc.
In the beginning of season 2007 the car is equipped with Garret GT28R turbo 3" downpipe and exhaust, External wastegate with separate exhaust, Mazda RX7 Gen II modified intercooler, Greddy Emanage Ultimate piggyback ECU, 13" x 10" Aero wheels with Hoosier slicks and everything more or less still fits within frame and covers.
The car used to weigh 1420 wet and is yet to be dynoed.

After 60 minutes race in CMP Feb 11th 2007. The car did well in his maiden voyage.

The Turbo Installed. Pretty much everything is home made, as one might think there is not ready made solutions for these cars.

The car was recently dynoed to produce 208.9 hp at 9 psi of boost in dynojet.
And I tipped the scales at 1722 with me and 7.5 gallons of gas. So empty and dry the car should weigh 1463 lbs.

In March Road Atlanta NASA race I won ST-1 class on Sunday with best time of 1:34.814 which translates to 96 mph average speed.
On standing start RaceTech DL-1 datalogger recorded 0-60 in 4.5 seconds which is ok considering one wheel was on the grass when avoiding stalled GT3 Porsche. On curiosity max G forces were 1.6. No downforce.
On Aprilsfoolsday the Locost went to it's first autocross in this configuration. It was raining a lot on previous session and the soaked track had good bit of water streams crossing it to give safari rally feel for the event. While not particularly fast it was very entertaining with 10" slicks all around. Still got second in E-Mod and lost 0.4 seconds to very nice e-type Jaguar with rain tires. Photos to come.
I also made a new hood with fancy louvers to aid cooling.

And added a muffler to keep within the noise limits.
Thanks and keep voting!
