well where do i start, i bought this little fiesta as a cheap run a round it was just inspected and runs like a charm, however it was owned by a teenager that removed the bumpers and made it crap, so i bought a donor car(looks good outside but floor full of holes) for spares and now planning to restore it making it a mk1 fiesta super sport copy, i will keep you up to date on the progress:-)
my plans of restore is:
red paintwork, and black decals
spot lights
spoiler
and for the inside i plan to put black and red leather seating.
19th feb 2007
just placed bumpers from donor car, changed oil and sparks, repaired the dodgy speedo cable(some idiot taped it togther!!!) and baught 2 massage seat mats ready to be placed into the seats cool:-) the car will look good and now give driver and passenger a massage. when the leather is placed on seats this car will have a touch of class.

the donor car!

the neons!

Mar 28 2007
i have now replaced the rusted doors and dinted body filled bonnet. the rust has been removed ready for painting. just have to repair the boot and then concentrate on the interior. more photos to come!
the shabby done blacked out windows have been removed and now has perfect black out windows (not 1 air bubble perfect!) i know fiesta super sport does not have black out windows but i like my privacy when i am with da ladies;-)
april 1st seat covers placed and massage units rigged up cool!
ok i may have gone of the supersport theme a little, i just bought ford fiesta RS spoilers for 200 (140 uk folks) front sides and back also top of window spoiler. pics to come and in summer they should be fitted.
april 10th the change has begun! the rear and side spoilers have now been fitted and spayed gray (prima)ready for painting. here are the pics:-)
the testing if fits.

now the fitting begins!

the front spoiler has not been fitted yet due to it being customized from MK2 RS fiesta to fit MK1. then the spay paint work begins.
ok lets refresh your memory from the shabby fiesta i got in november 2006 (next two pics)

TO THIS! what it looks like at the moment (17th april 2007)following pics..

may 27th 2007
i got a set of ford 1980`s foglights for a price of 40 (30) salvaged from a 1979 fiat on its way to a scrap yard! so it is worth looking in peoples gardens at their scrap cars:-)

10th june 2007
it now has bonnet air intakes (and new EU reg plates (same number)
NEW DONOR CAR COMING! 1976 FIESTA 1.1 this car is going to be bought Monday for a measly 250 (150) all the spares i need and also it was the luxury version with soft seats and soft head rests. in good condition but inspection failer.
AGAIN WORTH LOOKING IN PEOPLES GARDENS AT THEIR SCRAP:-)
I GOT THE SECOND DONOR CAR!
price was 250 got it for 200(150)!!! the seats and car are 32 year old, cloth and genuine leather!!!(seats are from the ghia model however the car seems to be a base model) not 1 rip really mint condition! i start on stripping it tomorrow.
JUNE 24TH
DAMN YOU FORD!!!!
i just went to dismantle the donor car guess what things are not the same... i bought a donor car (1984 model) engine not the same! i bought a donor car (1976 model both 1.1) but my 1983 model is a 1.1 GX and the seat fittings not the same! I SHALL FIT THE SEATS! I WILL CUT, WELD AND CUSTOM TO FIT THEM UNTIL THEY ARE FITTED! i must admit the old seat system was good it saved the floor from rotting,(i had to weld many fords that rotted at the floor seat bolts).
JUNE 24
problem sorted! as with the 1980+ ford fiesta the front seats are fitted by two bolts at the front to the support bar, and the rear of the front seats bolted to the floor. but with the original fiesta, the rear of the front seats are bolted to an tall thick metal column that supports the seats and protects the floor from weight damage... so my solution cut the supports from the spare car and weld onto the exact place on the "modern" version then the 30 year old seats can be fitted(it will attract attention of an old style interior on an modern kitted car)
following are some photos of the basic brown leather 70s door panels fitted with the custom wood effect door strip.
June 25th
here is some pics with the door panels and the wood effect i think it will look quite classical with a touch of modern well thats when the seats are fitted that is.
when the seats are fitted i will post more pics (must insert massage units to them first.
08 july 2007
the seats are now fitted however i have not had the chance to put the massage units back in them yet.
the floor has now been welded and has anti rust paint on it.
spayed black line on it and XR2 marking (done myself)
