Hi everybody. I'm Dan and I'm addicted to cars.

First off, I would like to give a special thanks to all my friends and everyone at FocusFanatics.com that have assisted me in building this beautiful machine. You know who you are.  Only the best of the best parts make it on this car, and I'd like to thank you guys for helping to steer me in the right direction. That being said, if you are a current or potential future Focus owner, check out the forums over there. Best people in the world and you will learn a lot.

OK, second, about the car. This is my first and only car at the moment, my very own 2002 Ford Focus ZX3 hatch. Yes it's an auto, but don't laugh, sure it has its drawbacks but it's a challenge that I'm learning to deal with. Plus my color is faster than your's : ).It's gone about 90,000 miles at the moment and it's still running strong. Have had very few problems over its lifetime, not bad considering it's a Zetec (read: "Recall Rocket").

A little history for you: I got the car in January of 2005 with only 18,000 miles on the odometer. This is the very first picture I took of it. I had owned it a little while and started personalizing it. I got it used with a body kit and tint, but that's it. In this picture, I had already added a Focus Central shorty antenna, K&N drop-in filter, clear corners, and a Borla catback exhaust.

Didn't get too many good shots from that first photoshoot. To me it looks kind of bland as well, I've made a few extra changes since then. Last year at NOPI Nationals it earned me third place for Custom Focus.

Not too much has changed. I've added a Focus Central 65mm throttle body, a Koni suspension kit with springs and adjustable dampers, Hella tail lights, Mazda 3 rear wiper, BBS wheels, and Nitto tires. Here are some more pictures for your viewing pleasure.

I know I look like a jerk here. It's kind of an inside joke making fun of a local stereo shop's advertising campaign. But yeah, that's me.

Funny (Haha, but no, not really...) story, 5 hours after these went on part of my tranny broke. Look at the bottom of the page for the rest of this story.ZX3-Dan's 2002 Ford Focus

ZX3-Dan's 2002 Ford Focus Mazda 3 wiper blade. Believe me, if you saw the before, you would throw up in your mouth.

Euro plate up front from autoplates.com. Those guys rock.

That's all for right now. 5 hours after I put the rims on, the shift solenoid A in my transmission broke. So to fix it, I ordered a Lentech recalibrated valve body that should firm and speed up the shifts quite a bit. My 4F27E auto is severely limiting the power I can put to the ground with this thing. As much as I hate to admit and accept it, this will probably be the first of a $2,500 series of purchases that will upgrade my transmission to being able to stand up to forced induction, which will end up being somewhere between another $2500-4000 depending on how I do it. My, my, this car is turning out to be quite the dent in the wallet. Stay tuned.

Here is the current mod list:

I know Rick, but i dont know Rick. haha, if you get what im saying. Well I think it would be best if you came mid-late August, thats when Ill be able to drive my car..LEGALLY. :S shhhh, haha. But thats for my sake. Since i dont really head out to any of the g2gs here, im to whimp to drive without my license all around town. But ive been to one, or two. But when I do, ill be going out to the shows, like up to Carlise, or Focus Fest (next yearr) and FOTB, etc. Anyways, im glad it makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. and I have a question, if i get the sportlines, will i need new chambers?
