My now 50% less-Mega-Pimp stereo system consists of a Sony X-Plod CDX-GT32W CD player, powering 2 6.5" 4-way Pioneers in the doors, and 1 or 2 6x9 3-way Pioneers behind the seats. The old Pioneer Premier cd player decided that turning itself on was just too much work, so I had to replace it with the $100 wally world special cd player.
I've got a Lanzar 680 watt amp behind my seat, which powers this behemoth:

My Sunpro Supertach II, which I picked up off ebay for a sweet price of $16.49! As you can see, it's just a bit more accurate than my factory tach.
Here's my newest gauge:
A Sun Econometer which cost me a measly $10 on ebay, brand new!
Anyone with a 2.9 and crappy 3.45 gears should consider buying one of these, really.
