WE ARE IN!!!! Looking forward to the 27th.
Why take a perfectly good car and disassemble it and start from scratch? Because it seemed like a good idea. That is what has been done with this 2002 996 Turbo All wheel drive Porsche. The car was stripped down to the tub and the fun began at Piper Motorsport. First a roll cage was fabricated. Once the tub was reinforced, the car was converted from all wheel drive to rear wheel drive using the GT3 cup car transmission. Brakes, suspension, cooling and everything vital was upgraded and re-installed. A Motec M600 engine management system was installed along with new custom wiring harness. Most of the upgrade was in specification to GT3 Cup Car standards. While still a work in progress, the initial performance has been shown potential. This car is fresh off the welder, recently built and has not yet seen the track, we cant wait to see what it will do.
