A little burn out fun in front of my house.
My CJ is finally done. Here are some pics of it in the back yard just before I left for fall semester and had to put her away in storage.

Like any Jeep enthusiast, even though I say its done, it is a on going project. I have plans for a 2.5 inch lift, and some 32 inch BF Goodrich A/T

Here are some pictures of what i started with and the progression of the jeep into what you see in the pictures above.

My buddy Tyler helping out with the rust removal on the hood

The front fenders were rough, but a little persuasion of a body hammer and some filler and sanding, i think they turned out pretty good.

The hood and fenders completed.

The frame was pretty bad from the doors back, I found another frame that was bad in the front end, so I improvised and chopped the two up, welded an inner tube on the inside of the original frame with about 10 inches hanging out. This way I could slide the new rear end frame over the inner tube. After I welded the inner tube to the two ends of the frame and made it one frame again, I welded all the seams, and then welded plates over top of the whole seam. The plates were about 18 inches long. Its held up extrememly well so far.
These pics show how the frame fell apart when I began to grind off some rust spots.

After all of that, about 18 months, of on and off work, since im in college, and approximately $1200.00 This is what ive turned out with. I know I cut alot of corners and I mean alot of them. But after all, this Jeep is just for rippin through corn fields and mud holes. I have really enjoyed this build, give me some advice, all criticism is welcome. Thanks and happy Jeepin'!!! (O||||O)

A little elbow grease and a soft brillo pad cleaned up the front bumper and grill really well.
