85' Buick Park Ave; One of 5,759 Olds V-6 Diesel powered, front wheel drive 4 door cars. There were only 536 Olds Diesel powered two door cars. Exterior is in need of repaint (peeling clear coat). Interior is mostly stock with an after market CD, AM/FM reciever, digital oil pressure, water temp. and boost pressure gauges.

The factory engine for this car is the 4.3L Olds Diesel Vin "T" (no it was not turbocharged from the factory). The 4.3L Diesel engine shown in this picture suffered from a defective water pump and severe overheating (cracked cylinder walls, scored pistons, etc).

Block has been bored .040" over for the new pistons. I've opened up all the oil drain back holes to accommodate the extra oil draining from the turbo.

Pistons (22.5:1 Compression Ratio) are fitted with .040" over Total Seal piston rings (missed getting a picture of the rings). Rods resized, new pin bushings, and assembly balanced.

Crank and bearings, roller cam and bearings, injector pump drive and bearings and single roller timing chain and gears are installed.

Shortblock is assembled and ready for smaller parts, oil pump, pan, core plugs, timing cover, etc.

Cylinder heads had cracks welded and machined. New guilds, valve seats, hardened keepers, and Ferrea larger diameter intake and exhaust valves were installed. Intake and exhaust ports have been opened up "slightly".

Top side view of cylinder head installed, rocker stud bosses machined to accomodate guide plates and 7/16" rocker studs.

Valve train consists of Harland Sharp adjustable full roller rockers, 7/16" rocker studs, hardened pushrods, and hardened guild plates.

Custom Garrett T3/T4 Turbo by Turbos Direct, LLC (Compressor A/R .60 and Turbine A/R .48). Custom fabricated waste gate actuator arm. Compressor outlet is clocked at different angle than in earlier pictures to accommodate the addition of an intercooler.

Intake manifold, injectors and injector pump are installed. Engine is almost ready for install.

CXRacing intercooler and piping will be installed in front of A/C condenser and plumbed into turbo and intake manifold.

Hey cool mods!...I have a 1984 Chev Celebrity, diesel wagon. Does your car have the three speed/th125c or the 4 speed th440t-4? I'm curious.
