Updated; March 8/08- Unfortunatly, this car has been retired. I will be using it for body parts on my 4cyl stock car, so it will be put to good use before I send it to the caryard. Check back for updates on my new 05 Ford Explorer.
Welcome to my Mercury Topaz GS page.
Currently, the poor thing is a bore. I have yet to do anything to it. Everything is pretty much stock with it's original 4cyl 2.3L, it has just a little over 270,000KM on her. But I do have some inspiration for my pretty little Green Machine. Hopefully this summer some things will be done to it.
Here are some pictures that I had taken last year (Spring of 06) When I first got the Topaz for 250 dollars.
This is the passenger side of the Topaz. When we got it had stickers in the windows that I had removed. There is an awkward patch of... I don't even know, just behind the front right wheel. It isn't rust, nor has it started to rust, but it needs to be sanded down a little, as it feels rough and not very flattering. Obviously, the drivers side of the Topaz. You can still see the funny looking "cracked window" sticker on the back. It's since been removed. A part of the side moulding being the left front has been removed and is beginning to peel. Which you can see here. It isn't very appealing, and needs to be fixed. This is the front end. It's got stock everything. I was going to replace the plastic grill with one of the fake-chrome grills, but the one I got off a scrap car didn't fit when I brought it home, so it still remains. The bum of my car. Topaz GS T, I like to leave the T crooked for some awkward reason. I think it's funny. The Snap-On sticker is still on the bumper, and will be removed once the weather begins to warm up. Obviously, the inner-workings of my dash. Oh, and I know you're wondering about the little green button. My Topaz is so high-tech that special green button IS THE HORN! /end sarcasm. Sadly, I am telling the truth, as the green button is my horn. This is the passenger side part of the dash. Very clean. Yeah, I only have the standard radio still in my dash. I need money to actually put a nice deck in there. It's soon to come.So yeah, that's about it. I know, right now it is sort of lame, but I am so inspired to do something. Fixing the rust that has developed slightly around my rear wheel wells as well as a new paint job (keeping it green.), a minor system, maybe a kit of some sort, there are so many ideas flooding to me, but not enough money.
I'll update soon!! Thanks for looking!!
