This picture is pretty dated now. Notice the lack of a roll bar, the R-Package front lip, the old FMII intercooler, the HUGE mirrors... But I still love this picture and it's made it's way across the internet pretty well, a little something to be proud of.
This is what it looks like now after the recent engine build:
And there are still changes to come...
Thanks for the votes that have kept my car at the top of the list for Miatas for the past few months! It's nice to know the car is so well appreciated! Please be sure to check out my local friend's Miata (highlighted in red) whose car appears in 2nd Place:

#2 - Doppelganger - Flyin' Miata turbo kit and a perfect mix of OEM and aftermarket parts
I currently have two other 1st Place ratings on CarDomain:

Welcome to my
1995 Mazda Miata
R Package
The goal of this car is to have a powerful, sleek, and yet underestimated daily driver. The exterior has a Garage Vary front lip/diffuser, R-Package rear lip, and Racing Lifestyle fender flares molded into the body. The vehicle is lowered and has SportMax 002 15x8 rims, which gives it a nice stance.
The only giveaway that the vehicle may have some power while it's sitting still is the dual exhaust coming out from the rear bumper and the intercooler seen in the mouth of the car. On the road however, the spool of the Garrett GT2871R turbo and the sound of the HKS SSQV blow-off valve between shifts is unmistakable.
Inside, simplicity is key. The driver is able to keep an eye on all of vital statistics via 6 strategically placed 52mm Autometer electric gauges, and control the vehicle with a top quality Momo steering wheel and a VooDoo shift knob. Shift points can be monitored with the Datatool Revlight mounted on top of the steering column. Engine management monitoring and changes are made via laptop, but soon may be handled by an on-board CarPC.
Many people underestimate Miatas, which makes leaving those drivers in the dust that much more enjoyable.

Parts/Work Currently In Transit/Progress:
7/17/2008 - 7/26/2009
Due to a bent rod, which had an unknown cause, a mild engine build took place. (Outlined in depth on Page 5.) The entire drivetrain was changed, a 6-speed transmission was swapped in and the 4.10 R&P gears were replaced with a 3.636 set. I also completely changed the turbo system and went with a new engine management system. There are some small things to be adjusted to "finish" the project, but overall I'm very pleased with the current status of the running portion of the car. Now it's time for the exterior to be redone.

Through some matter of luck, I snagged one of six Stage 21 extraction hoods that were shipped to the US in 2007. It is still brand new in the box. I am picking it up on Monday, 10/19. It will stay off the car until I have the new flares and then everything concerning paint and body work will be done all at once. (10/19 - It's here! One picture on Page 3 of the hood. It's going to be a bit before it's ready to go on the car.)
