The bed on my 92 F-150 was so rusted out and smashed, I had been looking for a new bed in the local trading post magazine. Instead of a new bed, I ended up finding and buying another Ford F series that needed a new bed. As a vehicleaholic, thats what I get for picking up a trading post.
This truck is awesome though. I just had to give it a tuneup and replace the master cylinder and battery. Now it starts right up even on the coldest mornings.
I was told horror stories of these old 360 and 390 powered Fords getting 8 to 10 mpg, but it has done fairly well so far. I'm planning to repaint it the original light blue and build a sweet steel flatbed with toolboxes.
Here's that bad-ass 360:

I love the grille of 73 through 77 Ford F series, they all look so pissed-off:
Holes in the floor, holes in the seat, dent in the dash. Interior definitely needs some help:
Finally did find a bed for that '92 F-150. Good thing I bought a flatbed to haul it with!

Update March 31, 2007
Replaced right rear wheel bearings and seals, pinion seal, driveshaft carrier bearing, rearmost U-joint. Match-mounted and balanced the ancient 16.5" Bridgestones. Much less vibration now. Fixed the horn by cobbing up a solution to the lack of a steering shaft ground while I replaced the turn signal cancel cam. (see picture below) Removed and cleaned up the heater box and soaked control cables in kerosene to get the heater and controls working as good as new. Anyway, theres always plenty of work to do on this old monster. Next plans include rebuilding the flatbed with steel framing and whatnot, repainting the cab and installing a factory ford radio in the dash connected to the old single speaker, while installing a Panasonic CD player with remote control in the glovebox connected to some speakers in the doors and behind the seat.
Cobbed up horn ground and new cancel cam:
