This 1982 J-10 was purchased for $500 as a beater and potential parts truck for the rest of the fleet. After doing the dirty work for a year and a half, including being the everyday vehicle for the worst winter ever in Atlantic Canada (White Juan), the truck was significantly damaged by a bobcat. While the truck was being used as the hauler for a driveway addition project, the bobcat digging the driveway inadvertently tipped over landing on the tailgate and bed of the truck.
The results were, a crushed tailgate, broken leaf springs, shocks and cracked axle housing. Rather than junk her, the most ambitious project to date began. Total frame-off rebuild.

The truck is actually a lot further than the final picture.
The cab, doors, new fenders, and hood have been completed and installed. The paint is completed. Color is AMC Spinnaker Blue. The original 360 V-8 engine and 727 auto transmission have been completely rebuilt and installed. The engine has received significant upgrades including, edelbrock intake and perf carburetor, new exh manifolds and generally new and upgraded everything-else.
A new rust free box and tailgate are currently being prepped and painted. Once installed, only re-assembly and finish work remain.
The truck will benefit from 1 1/2 to 2 inches lift from new custom springs, and likely be outfitted with 33" ATs and new wheels for the finishing touch.
