This 1982 J-10 was purchased for $500 as a beater and potential parts truck for the rest of the fleet. After doing the dirty work for a year and a half, including being the everyday vehicle for the worst winter ever in Atlantic Canada (White Juan), the truck was significantly damaged by a bobcat. While the truck was being used as the hauler for a driveway addition project, the bobcat digging the driveway inadvertently tipped over landing on the tailgate and bed of the truck.
The results were, a crushed tailgate, broken leaf springs, shocks and cracked axle housing. Rather than junk her, the most ambitious project to date began. Total frame-off rebuild.
The truck will benefit from 1 1/2 to 2 inches lift from new custom springs, and likely be outfitted with 33" ATs and new wheels for the finishing touch.
