This Merc has 67,000 original miles on it and I am the 2nd owner. The engine is a 390 special hooked, to a 3spd automatic transmission with a posi trac rearend. It has power brakes, power steering and power windows. It runs and handles real good. I drive it every day in the summer months and, I pull my 1966 speed boat with it... Due to the fact I customize all my cars, I will be customizing it. However, I am going to retain the stock running gear. The body will receive minor improvements such as; Cruiser skirts, lakepipes, dummy spots, shaved door handles and a scalloped paint job. The interior will be done in white tuck n' roll with green piping and white and green carpeting. The trunk and under the hood will also be outfitted with white and green tuck n' roll panels. The suspension will be upgraded to air with 4 wheel disc brakes and chrome wheels wrapped in wide whites.

This is the car now.

These pictures are computer mock-up's of design's I thought about....

Well, here it is a year later and progress has been slow. However, it's getting there.... This latest photo is current as of June 21 2008 I lowered it primered it and upgraded the stopping power. Lake pipes and spots will be added soon along with a louvered hood. Like they say, change is good....

Here is the Merc and one of my son's custom bikes. We show them together as projects in progress... Half the fun is getting there!
