In the background you can see two other Rio's that were in the car show. They are some friends of mine that I met up with at the show.
I attended the IDRC EVO-1 Car Show and entered the Rio in it. Didn't win anything but the car was in top notch this day. Should have won but the judges didn't like the idea of a KIA winning anything. So they gave the trophies to some stock Subi's. It was a real bummer, but I had fun. Here is the pics....

June 13th and 14th, 2009, were a local event. Robertsons Palmdale Honda held their 15th annual "Thunder on the Lot" car, bike, and truck show. My boss sponsored my car to be in the car show. It was a cool turn out for the imports. 47 cars were there including an R33 Skyline GTR. I placed! My car was given a trophy for "BEST SPORT COMPACT". With the new look I had hoped that the car would rate well with the judges, and it did. Have a look at some of the pics.
As you can see there was some prety good competition at the show. Mostly local guys here, but a few came up from the valley. Here is the trophy......
