Intro

We purchased this 2000 Toyota Celica GT in late January of 2007. We intend to show as much detail as possible on this site varying from what we did right and what we did wrong. Our goal with this project is to make one of the greatest Celicas in the world while still retaining its functionality and the common characteristics of a Celica.

Current Car Status

- Aug 2: Cleaning up a few odds and ends waiting for water sand and buff on Friday.
- Aug 28: Finaly Painted.
- Aug 26: Customized spoiler.
- Aug 25: Body work complete.

The following two pictures show the cars original exterior and current exterior.

Hello Gooder, I can relate to your efforts and the celica GT300 project. In 2004, I purchased a new celica with the intention to trandform to a GT300. Going on five years later and more than $50,000 Canadian sunk into the car, I am still not finished. I have the kit completed and the Racing Hart CR rims, etc. It is very much like the original GT300 created by APR. I have some advice for anyone who attempts this thing...it is a very timely process and a money sink hole. I live in NL and have the distintion of the only one on the island, this is a nice thing. On another note, I lowered the car with adjustable Tein shocks and beat the front off it on a very bad road...believe me this was a very difficult lesson for me. I have added more than $6,000.00 worth of stereo equipment eclusively Kenwood Exelon. I love the car and don`t drive it winter time nor in bad weather if I can avoid it. To date, March 2009, I have only a little over 18,000km on the car. I hope I never have to sell it since I will loose my shirt. Again, I really appreciate your work and your documentation on Car Domain. Great Job!!! Thanks for your article. Roger Snook Gander, NL Canada
