I searched for almost a year to find a Comet as close as possible to my 1st car(almost every guy will say they wish they had their 1st car again, now I do). I'm now in the process of doing a restore/mod. Most of the mods will be in the interest of saftey, with a few on performance.A true California Black Plate with only 48,000 miles.The only thing not "numbers matching" is the paint and vinyl roof. Stock 289 with a 2bbl and 210 HP, dual exhaust,Flow master 40's, Cruise-o-matic, original interior, with A/C. I'm planning to put a stock '65 4bbl on top, eventually building the engine up to around 285 HP,and convert it to front disk brakes. Other than that I'm keeping her as stock as possible.
UPDATE 1 Sept 07 : New front end, radiator, new ignition system, hoses, fuel and vacumm lines, Installed 4bbl, over 235 HP. Gets up like a bat out of hell now. Detailed interior and exterior. See ya at the Classic/Custom Car shows around northern California!
