"If God created shadows, it was to better emphasize the light."
Truly the shadow of Chuki, Shadow is my new 1989 coupe that will keep me on the road until Chuki's completetion. I have created this page to pay homage to it's part in my life, a part which has only begun and already it brings me great joy. This page is in dedication to Shadow and our time together until the day comes that Chuki returns reborn.
.:Updates:.
.:August 7, 2009 - Finally got Shadow's intake, after lots of dickin around with vividracing. I do not reccomend ordering from them, they are complete fools. I ordered it on July 19th, and got it yesterday...and that says it all. In any case, I put it together with no problem and went to install it...and disaster. Shadow's so messed up under the hood with the previous owner tinkering with it that it was difficult to arrange hose placement. I shall try again on my day off.
.:August 13th, 2009 - With a little persuasion for the siezed up starter, we finally got Shadow to crank. It won't start though, no fuel pressure. I'm gonna find an old fuel pump for a replacement...no point in buying a new one. Once I replace the fuel pump, it should run. Hopefully.
.:August 21st, 2009 - Shadow's fuel pump came in the mail today, bought one from a guy for twenty bucks...so sweet deal. No time to put it in today, hopefully tomorrow.
.:August 25th, 2009 - Got the fuel pump in, and guess what? It runs! Problems now include: two dead injectors, timing problems, possible compression irregularities. Fun! But I drove it around the block lol.
.:September 5th, 2009 - Well, we made a new wiring harness and finally got the thing firing on all four cylinders...but the sudden fuel pressure was so intense, it blew the fuel line apart...dumped a whole 4 gallons of premium fuel alllll down my driveway. Good times. haha
.:Semptember 24th, 2009 - A lot of work has gone into Shadow to get it into a drivable condition, the list of things including resetting the timing, replacing the coolant temp sensor, by-passing the EGR with a set of performance headers, tweaking the idle sensor, and basically rebuilding the fuel system. He's almost there, idles great, just a few more minor details and he's ready to drive!
.:October 12th, 2009 - Got the headers today after a bunch of waiting, apparently I bought the last set from Dash Z Racing and it took them forever to dig them out of the parts department lol. Anyways they look great and hopefully I'll have them installed by the end of the week.
.:October 19th, 2009 - Shadow's headers have been officially installed, they improve performance and general running health very much I'm pleased. Now we only have to find out what's up with the cooling system, correct the rest of the exhaust system, put a radio in it, and get new tires...and Shadow is good to go.

.:October 31st, 2009 - Finally got Shadow's hacked up wiring figured out using an 89 service manual I found online [thank you Nicoclub], and got sound to come out of the front speakers...which thankfully worked. I need to buy rear ones, because it doesn't have any. Other than that, it needs the rest of the exhaust, a fan, and tires and I'm done.
.:November 4th, 2009 - And as fast as it was there, it's gone. I sold Shadow today for 1400 bucks. I now have a much better vehicle, an 87 200sx SEV6. Very nice condition, runs awesome. Good-bye Shadow, I knew thee shortly.
