The 1990 ford mustang LX convertible is a classic example of an affordable drop top muscle car. The car pictured above has only 26,000 miles and almost 18 years old. The 87 and newer fox bodied mustangs were the most desired and most improved mustangs. Peak horse power was 225 HP and torque was 300 FT LBs. These mustangs also had true dual exhaust, roller cam, E7TE heads, factory headers, 60mm throttle body, mass air sensor, and 8.8 traction LOC differential. Ford also redesigned the mustang interior in 1987. A new dash was installed and improved seats and door panels too. From 1990 on a drivers side air bag was standard equipment. There are plenty of these 5.0 mustangs out there but finding an unmolested stock original is rare these days. If you do find an all original 5.0 mustang keep it that way because these mustangs will be true classics in the future, especially the convertibles.
