1969 Mustang Mach 1

6t9machI's 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1

My Mach 1:

The way it came from the factory...

M-code 351w-4v: 290hp/385 ftlbs torque
4-speed Toploader transmission
3.00 open rear gear
Paint: Black Jade
Interior: Black
Manual drum brakes
Manual steering

Options:

Air conditioning
AM/FM radio
Tilt-away steering column
Tinted glass

Currently...

357W: 438hp/440 ftlbs torque (est) / FMX automatic transmission / 3.50 Trac-lok  rear gear / 31-spline Superior axles

I purchased this car from a local, retired Ford mechanic. He had found the car in a salvage yard in South Carolina in the mid 80's and brought the car back to life. It had been hit in the left rear quarter panel and had its engine and transmission stripped, as well as the other desireable options like the tilt-away steering column and AM/FM radio. He restored the car and it was driven little after that. The left rear quarter panel, rear valance and left trunk floor panel are the only pieces of sheetmetal that have been replaced on this car. With the car having a 20 year old restoration, it is starting to show some wear, but for the most part it is a very solid car.

She looks fast even when she is standing still

Mach 1's came with the deluxe interior which included the wood grain inserts. The Mach 1's also had a clock in the dash, just above the glove box on the passenger side.

Since I recently purchased a 1972 Mach 1 (August 09) I wanted to create a place where other Mach 1 owners had a place to call there own from around the world! I searched the net trying to find a place that was pretty much exclusive to the Mach 1 and found that there isn't any. What we hope to accomplish with this site is to have all available information and tech info for the Mach 1. There are a lot of Mustang websites on the internet but this is the place to gather all the Mach 1 information in one place! Come Join The Club! Mach1Club.comAdmin, please feel free to list your site on our site as well!
