I got my trans am a year ago n some change...i have been working on it to make it as fast as possible...I have gotten 13.5 @ 103.5 outta it..I have a hypertech program...an SLP catback Exaust (3 inch)...i got a morso coldair intake..i got a throttle body booster...and a hypertech 160 thermostat...i am workin on a new rear with 3.42gears(outta a six speed)..i only have 2.73 in my rear now(stock)...my times are good for that rear..im hoping to jump up at least a half a second with 3.42's..i have gone 175mph with no more room to go at 4800 rpm in 3rd gear not even hittin overdrive...which i will never e able to do with my new rear that i am gettin..i have also costom myinside with red outlay..and a double deck headunit made by duel..i have also had 2 12" P1 Punche's with 2 gemini 10" highs powered by expode amps...i also have costom red mats...and i also have honeycomb tail lights from a ls1 t/a (which i like better then the lt1 trans am)also myrear bumper painted primer black to make it similar to a 25th aneversery T/A....I also have a suspension increase to reduce drag and get better traction...as if i dont have enough with my fresh Kumho Esca ZR Rated racing tires...ill keep with the stock rims for now there ight....I am still workin on lots more..but thats it for now....
A little update...i jus got my new 3.42 rear..and im gonna put it to use at atco this season....meet me there if yo know where its at.(3/30/07)
i jus got down putting a B&M Polyeurothane tranny mount in my car.....i can feel the vibration..but its work it because i get a harder launch and i slap into second....and chirp third.
I jus got my new rear @ i found out my tranny is bad..i jus got my tranny rebuilt and i am set.....one last step for my tranny would be a 2400 TCI Stall converter(4/7/07)
New update...i just put an LT4 knock sensor in my car..and it helps alot....Less engine retard...and better powerband thru the RPM Range..its a defenate HP bargain..40 bucks..and about 20 min of your time..Totally worth it.
New update...11/6/07...I just did that little throttle body bypass...and i cleaned the MAF Sensor and the throttle body...suposed to be like a 6 rear wheel hp..i dont feel nothing but its there...
New Update...4/6/08....I jus had Sub frame connecteds welded to my car...Big big diffence in handleing and performance...A must for T-Top f-bodies..i love em..there B & M Subframes....They look damm good too...
New update...5/6/08..I have instaalled drilled and slotted rotrs and the are so much better...wih some of he bst pads out there....good investment.
New Update...3/25/09..I have installed some good suspension parts..i have installed some boxed control arms with some nice poly busings made by spohn performance..there real nice..but the big ticket was the new fully adjustable torqu arm with sperical rod ends with a complete relocate braket...real nice stuff....it takes the stress off the tail end of the transmisson and reloates it to the subframe witch elimanates wheel hop and gives mor traction...another great part made by spohn...Next to come will be some mickey thompsons and a 2800 stall converter.
