anyway i'd thought i would make this page so all can see how to put a install in there new astra's
There is about 7 sq.ft of sound deading on this door, put sound dead on both skins of the door.
i'm using focal 165V2 i love focal great speakers plus there only 75 watt rms so will be able to running them off the std unit for any of you that are just looking to upgrade ya speakers
close up of the driver and crossover i used halfords speaker ring part number SAK-2902 they are for the astra. when installing then lay some sound dead under the ring before mounting on the door plus run a strip of sound dead around the ring stop any unwanted noise. seal the speaker ring to the door i.e some sort of sealent.
simply unclip the old tweeter and glue on the new one
Now can you spot the difference?????
You will hear the difference tho, there some very clean and clear bass now
