whats up. My name is Justin and this is my Jeep Cherokee im slowly but surely workin up. Only 17 and i dont have my daddy buy me everything so ya know..fuckin rich bastard kids..
When i first got it, it was completely stock. Its a 93 Cherokee, straight 6, 4.0 L high output.
The first thing i did was tinted the windows. Its 3% in the back ones, and 30% in the front. I wanted Limo all around but Pigs have nothing else to pull you over for in Utah..so i went with as dark as i could with it legal.
Soon after the windows i put a rack on it. i had some guy make it for me for 150 bucks, not bad huh?
goofy lookin with stock tires ddrivin to moab :)
I bought a slightly used rubicon express 3.5 inch lift. it has new coils and springs. i had to buy longer shocks also. You can see the back sagged. Also it looked really goofy with the tires and rims it had so i got some black 150x8 rims and 31x10.50 mastercraft a/t tires.
I added one of my old leafs to each side and it evened out really nice. had to get longer center bolts and u bolts.
Put some fog lights on the bottom of the front bumper, wouldnt recommend doin that. i smash the hell out of them.
I wanted to add some deep mean rumble to it so i cut off the cateletic converter and stock exhaust and threw on a glass pack. it sounds great! cheap and easy way to get the mean sound.
A while after that, i added a 2 inch budged lift: blocks to put under the front and rear (coils in front, springs back)
after i lifted it again without they SYE i have put different drivelines on front and back to reduce vibrations. i bought them used for like 20 bucks each. a new driveline SYE is about 800.... ill live with a little vibrations and changing u joints once a year instead of 800 bucks...
Its about a 5.5 inch lift. it sits higher than my dads 1/2 ton stock chevy.
I got a grill gaurd and mounted up. Has some nice light tabs. That white vehicle in the background is another project cherokee were workin on ;) its gonna be about a 10 inch lift with 38 swampers detroits currie's, SYE, and everything. i'll get some pics up. we only have the rear end on so far.

Finished for now. I like this pic. Took it in my back yard with my mowin trailer hooked up still.
I have lights to put on the grill gaurd but i havent mounted them up yet. just got them at autozone like 30 bucks a pair with everything you need. also got some for my roof rack. i have a transfer case lowering kit i havent put it on yet tho.
So all together in sequence this is what i have done:
-tinted the windows (just bought a kit and did it myself)
-got a roof rack made for me at a local shop
-got 3.5 inch lifted coils and springs.
-the back sagged so i added old springs and evened it out.
-got bigger tires (31) and black alloys
-added 2 more inches with blocks and pucks
-added a front grill gaurd
-got lights to mount on the rack and grill gaurd.
-transfercase lowering kit
Things i would have done DIFFERENT!
-Take time to do your tint and do it in the summer so it sets up good.
-get good help
-dont get pissed when you have to cut bolts, cuz you will alot.
-if you plan on going bigger, buy u bolts bigger the first time so you dont have to buy them again...
-you will need to get break line extensions.
-transfer case lowering kits help alot with vibrations.
-go buy some u joints now cuz they will break without a slip yolk eliminator drive line. they run about 800 bucks... if you go much bigger than 5 inches you will need one.
-you will have vibrations learn to live with it.
-dont go bigger than 33 or 35 you will blow your axel up...not cool!
-larger fender flares are really nice. they give you more clearance to flex they are pricey tho.
Before you start remember what JEEP stands for...Just Empty Every Pocket! :P really its Just Enough Essential Parts but ya know...
I really wish i would have knows all of this stuff before i started. it would have helped alot so i hope i can help some of you out there that want to lift your outfits.
Any quesions or comments my email is Justin_kohler@hotmail.com or leave me some comments!
ill throw some more pics when i get my lights mounted.
i am also thinking of cutting my fenders and throwin some pocket style fender flares on. they are about 400 or 500 installed, but they look so good! we'll see what happens.
sexy truck in moab over spring break at the easter safari. he was all over town i took that pic over at potato salad tho.

My bros 9inch lifted Cherokee. SYE, Currie axels, Lockers, Custom bumpers, Flares, HID lights, Custon rack, Custom paint, 38 swampers, Chips, Intake, Exhaust, and everything else. not bad for a 89 huh?

Jeepin in Moab with only the 3.5 inch lift. Showin a lil flex.
Below: Up on Mt Logan with 5.5 inch i didnt want to flex it to much because my break lines and stretched pretty tight as it is. i need to get extensions or something... and i had all my sway bars hooked. still great fun.
decided to take off the sissy factory flares and cut my fenders and mocked up some TJ flares. looks sexy and gives alot more clearance for flex. also took off the puss 31 all terrains and bought some 33-1250 big o big foot XT MUDDERS. hells yeah.
havent put the rear TJ flares on yet. they will be tricky. you have to cut it in half and part goes on the back and part goes on the door. here comes the creativity part. some nice flexy tho.
Took out the back window for the summer. kinda let the exhaust in. it was nice tho. was gonna take doors off. didnt wanna mess with it tho and have them not match back up.
got the lights mounted up. nice for off roadin or just cruisin around.
