Well, what can I say? I've become addicted to all things Subaru. After moving to Colorado I needed something that could get around in the snow, and this is it, an 07 Impreza 2.5i. First basic mods were tinted windows and a Pioneer MP3/CD player. Next I removed the stock muffler and replaced it with a Magnaflow unit, except I still couldn't hear anything, so I removed the resonator as well. That fixed the "quiet" problem. As of a few months ago my baby is now rolling on wider tires, but I tried to keep the overall diameter as close to the original as possible. Recently I was getting tired of the oval shaped muffler, and knew it could be louder, so I installed a "no name" round muffler. All I cared was that it was 100 % stainless steel, that and I didn't feel like paying hundreds just so I could say I had a HKS or 5Zigen or whatever. Besides, it looks great, and is about 1/3rd to 1/2 louder than the Magnaflow was. Surprisingly very very deep and resonating, absolutely no "raspy" or "farty" sound to be heard. Yeah, still doesn't sound like a WRX (no turbo plus EL headers) but it has a pretty bad ass growl. If your in the Denver area and looking for exhaust work, check out Intermountain Radiator and Muffler, those guys are the best and their prices are killer. I got bored the other day and decided to de-badge my trunk, looks alright for having no idea what I was doing. Recently my stock paper speakers bit the dust, so I upgraded to Alpine Type-S Coaxials (6.5'') in the front (also kept my factory tweeters hooked up front in the door panels) and Pioneer 4 inch coaxials in the back. In October I got a small soundsystem installed: a Rockford Fosgate Prime 150 Watt RMS amp under the drivers seat, powering a JBL 8 inch subwoofer in a custom box under the passenger's seat. Definitely adds some much needed bass to the overall sound. Thanks again for lookin at my page! Leave me a comment and I'll be sure to check out and rate your ride as well!
