Sprawler2525's 1986 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup I just got this truck on Jan 18th, for free.

Sprawler2525's 1986 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup But now its parted out and is now at the junk yard because i got a new one in better shape
Sprawler2525's 1986 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup I picked it up for $200, its an 86'.

Sprawler2525's 1986 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup The body is in alot better shape, mainly surface rust. no major problems anywhere. The interior is in a lot better shape too. the dashboard only has one small crack in it thats hardly noticeable, as opposed to the old one having big chunks missing out of it, so I probably wont even replace it.

Sprawler2525's 1986 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup The Motor is just about ready to be dropped in, Just have to throw a water pump on it and pulleys and it will be set.

Sprawler2525's 1986 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup It is a Chevy 350cid. it has a mild cam from summit with .420/.442 lift and 262/272 duration. It also has a used edelbrock performer aluminum intake. It also has an old mallory points distributor with an accel super stack coil. I put all new seals and gaskets all around, it was a leaky motor when we first got it. most of the parts, except for the camshaft were things found in the garage. This S10 is a budget build, and my first project car/truck.

Sprawler2525's 1986 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup Got the 8.8 out of an explorer for $125 at the local junkyard. 4.10 posi with disc brakes!

Sprawler2525's 1986 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup Finally got the engine bolted in, its makin me giddy :D

Sprawler2525's 1986 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup Still a while from actually driving it though.
Between work and school, I dont have much time to work on it, but I plan to get this beast done by April, High school nationals at Milan Dragway baby!

Can't wait to see it done. We should have both our truck ready for the track at the same time.
