The Camel is registered for NOPI Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia! I'm taking him (and Rodney is going with me) down on Friday and that evening all the Niconauts are raising hell at a steakhouse (it'll be fun and I plan on NOT crashing my sugar so that I can enjoy all the late night activities ;oD).

As of now, I plan to finish my headlight before my trip to Seattle, and after Seattle I'd like to order my spoiler (so that it gets here in time to paint and install) and after that I'll see if I have the money to get my stripes and I'll see if Brandon can do my 'kill' marks! Then I've got to measure for the vinyl... EEEHHHHHH!!!

Well, the spoiler is a definite... Rodney gave me the money for it as a late b-day present. I told him he was also going to help me install it... ;oD I ordered it today!!

Just a note... since I reordered my pages yesterday, I cleared the blog page off (old content has been moved to the 'Nico photoshoot page') since I'm starting a new projects list to get ready for NOPI Nationals!! Please don't get discouraged that there aren't pics of my Camel on this page, just go to page 2 for the background story, page 3 for my first projects list (to get ready for NicoClub's Versa of the Quarter contest), or page 4 for my NicoClub photoshoot!
My spoiler won't be on until I get back from my roadtrip anyway (I leave in a few days for Seattle and the spoiler hasn't arrived in the mail yet... plus I have to paint it...)
New updates in very early September!! (since NOPI is the 15th & 16th I've got to hurry!!)

I'm back, the spoiler is here (and sanded and prepped), and yesterday I washed the bugs off the baby... 5,000+ miles of bugs was pretty hideous!! I'll be painting the spoiler today and the install will happen as soon as I can pull Rodney over to my place for a couple of hours... Hopefully this weekend! I'll post pictures of it soon, and there will be install pics. Before I can install the spoiler, I need to paint the area around the breaklight, so that will hopefully happen today or tomorrow. I have decided to try my hand at a custom grill, so today I go shopping for some wire mesh. Wish me luck!! I can't wait for NOPI!!!

Sorry it has been so long... I've painted the spoiler (getting it installed early this week), bought my touchup paint and 'fixed' the spot in my hood, and painted the area around the breaklight blue. Pics up soon, I promise. The headlight is 1/2 way apart, hope to get it totally apart today or Monday. It'll be a tight squeeze... I haven't talked to Brandon about the 'kill marks' so I'd better get a move on that as well... eep!!!

Well, here's some pictures of the Camel...
5,000 miles worth of bugs from my Seattle trip... (if you look closely, I think you can see the bugs that were on the car eating the other bugs... gross!)

and the mysterious rubber band! (I presume my Camel came equipped for the auxiliary hamster power ;oD My service guy is freaked and doesn't want me to remove it until he's had a chance to see it ;oP)

And... here's a pic of me... (The shirt has two 20-sided dice, 20 side up and reads, "Yes, they're natural" ... my girlfriend and I each have one ;oD)

Okay, no new pics yet... but the spoiler gets installed tomorrow, the headlight is apart and will be painted (along with my show grill) tomorrow and reassembled, my 'kill marks' are supposedly finished, but I didn't have time to pick them up...

Oh, and did I mention I was leaving on Friday?!? I have to leave by 9am to get to the hotel at 3pm... eep! Oh, and I have a PT appointment, then need to pick up my decals (if I haven't already) and so forth...

AAAHHHHH!!!!! I'm so excited... But I still have to detail the Camel... Sheesh... How am I going to be ready? Plus I still have to pack clothes and stuff... eep!

I don't have any pics, but the headlight is done, I'm picking up my kills marks, I'm having my spoiler installed (the dealership refused to do it and informed me of this at ten till four...) and then I'm leaving for Georgia... see you guys when I get back!!! (with new Camel pics too, of course!)

The spoiler wasn't installed. The body shop wants to smooth it out before the installation. I'm okay with that (I really like this spoiler, and I think it is much nicer than the others out there...) I just don't know when I'll be able to afford to have it done... I did place my kill marks while at the show... here's a picture taken with my phone...
