My truck has undergone a complete personality transformation.
The old 4.3L V6 is gone, so is the 4L60E (that broke behind its stunning power).
Now powered by an LQ4 6.0L V8 out of a 2004 Silverado, backed up by a 4L80E trans. Rounding out the powertrain is a custom built NV246 with no low range (making it a NV146, which New Venture doesn't build).
Has a custom steel oilpan to clear the front differential.
Engine mounts are from TurboTime.
Headers are highly modified 2002 Z28 manifolds.
Exhaust is 2.5" mandrel bent pipe from manifolds to a 3" Y pipe, 3" Hi Flow Cat, and 3" JBA Cat Back Exhaust.
Running C5 PS & Alt Bracket, 145Amp truck alternator, LS7 Waterpump, SLP Ported TB & LS6 Intake
Electric fans are from 2000 Z28.
Harness and PCM programming are by Current Performance.
Truck is running, but still has a few bugs to work out. For example, trans cooler is too small and positioned poorly (doesn't get enough air).
Looks stock, doesn't it?
