7/12/07 Update- It's not been my daily driver for th elast few months. It's been replaced by my 78 Malibu. The truck hasn't had any problems since 4/17/07. After the head gasket fix we had to clean the cooling system out twice and replace the starter. After all that work It is getting used as a farm implement (like it was before I got my license).

4/13/07 UPDATE- I've had it running since Sunday, it's Friday now (the 13th). Since then it got hot and we cleaned the engine water passages and heater core out. Today after school I came home and we set the vavle lash and re-torqued the head bolts. I've swapped the wheels and tires on the other Toyota and the 79 GMC, and started rebuilding the 400sbc. I have decided I will drive my Camaro to my graduation (next year). Some think thats a long time to get itt done, but I'm in no hurry and still learning. I don't care what it looks like as long as it will out run every car in the parking lot, and after I walk down the line, I'm going to the Camaro and laying down one hellasishs thick and long blackmark in farewell to the school.

3/21/07 Update- I've got the head tore off replacing teh head gasket, having the head decked and replacing the head bolts and valve seals, and all gaskets. View pics on page 5

2/24/07 UPDATE- It's mine go to the bottom of page 3 for more details.

2/20/07 UPDATE- Have the bolt ordered and should be in tommarow. Friends has a Toyota he traded for, don't know much about it other than it has 10" wide wheels and he said it was lifted and looked just like mine. He just traded for it this morning and already priced it to me. It's been rolled. Sounds like a rockcrawler project to me.

2/18/07 UPDATE- broke the bolt with egg shaped washer that holds the lower A-frame on. If you know the technicail term comment me.

This is my 1986 Toyota Pickup. My dad bought it from a friend in 94, the friend had moved here from California. My dad gave it to me a year ago. It's got the original 22re and original auto trans. It's got 239,000 miles on it and has never been rebuilt, only the timing chain replaced, new head gasket, and new front axles. It's got a Pioneer headunit, an Sony equalizer(not hooked up), a 400 watt amp and 2 10' subs behind the seats.
