Updates well thats a good sign the long list of things to do is slowly but surely getting slower. the car is totally cleaned with the exception of the engine i will wait for warmer weather to do that. the fuel pump is on and a new fuel line right from the pump to the tank is on and i have the car running off fuel from the tank not a geary can going right to the carb. i have all the fues replaced and everything is working i recently descovered that the top line on the tranny is no good so it will have to be replaced.

saturday, march 31,2007 i found out that it wasnt the top rad line that was gone it was a frost pulg so i have that replaced and now i am working on replacing the second frost plug. I had the car running and was going to take it for a test drive but i had no tranny fluid to put in it so i have to get some of that. the car looks good out in the sun and i took some pictures of it and will put them on soon. as for the second frost plug i have to undo a motor mount and jack the engine up so that is what i am doing tommrow. i found someone with gauges for my car so i will put them in then the car is going to our mechanic and he is going to go over the electrical and make sure that it is hooked up right and hook up the tach and spedometer after that i will put the stereo system in it and put the finishing touches on it then in late october i am going to send it in to be painted so that they can have it until spring and that should be all that is manditory but i am sure there will be more that i want to do and it will throw me off track so i will be updating as i get these things done.

well i had the frost plug in and started it up i even had it running but when i looked at the oil pressure gauge it was dropping and fast so here we go again one step foward ten backwards but it wanst as bad as i first thought but it was still bad enough when the guy i bought the car off of put the intake on he didnt put the gausket on right and the oil was comming out the back of the intake so as it stands right now the intake is off the car and i am having it sandblasted because the guy had it painted and they is so much paint flaking off because it is not heat paint so i will get it sand blasted and then painted with heat paint untill i can afford a new intake. i have the engine compartment cleaned and i want to paint it a high gloss black sometime soon and i have my new spark plug wires on but i need to paint my valve covers and get new chrome bolts for them if you know what i am talking about. and the interior had been cleaned and shampooed so that is it for now but i will update soon

i have resently discovered that my tranny has a seal gone in it i found this out when it fell on the ground and about 3L of tranny fluid came pooring out so close to driving it yet so far thats all for now.

well i have fixed a lot of little things i put the ford emblem back in the steering wheel and fixed the center console glove box lid i am also having a mechanic coming over to look at the tranny today was also the first day that i got to ride in my dads car with the headers done it was a loud mothers day. i have lots of new pictures for you guys but need to find the cable to up load them i think my sister has it. check out the pictures section in a couple of weeks they should be on by then.

i still have not gotten a camera cable sorry about that. well i have a tranny leak but it is not that big the main leak was the power steering line it was rotten right at the base of it so it is off and i am waiting for a new one to come in i have also taken all of the pullys off and painted them i also have a picture of that and will get it on ASAP i cant make any promises as to when that will be,

sorry for the really long wait i have been very busy and have just been putting away putting a few hours in here and there on the stang. i have been at work a lot and with school it doesnt leave much time for the car. so i have finally gotten new pictures up!!! i have been working on a project at school for the car i have made a circuit board that goes in the inside of the glass of the gauges with red LED lights and the speed and sequance of the lights change. it looks kick a** at night with the factory lights on and then these red ones. i have also been busy with the car today being the first day that i have put a full day pretty much into the car i have started to take off the power steering rack as it needs to be replaced and i only have 1 bolt holding the tranny pan on and i have a new filter and a seal for that. i caculated up and with my discounts at the local parts stores because i work at one of them and at a car dealership so the dealer ship gets a discount at both places but i get a better one at ideal supply so i go there but anyway i have invested 2,800.00 in the car so far and it looks a lot better then it did or at least that is what i have been hearing from people that i hangout with. i have also painted the pullies and cleaned some more under the hood look at the pics on PAGE 8

well it has been to long i have now got the lights in my gauges and they look sweet i have the seal replaced in my tranny and have power steering rack just sitting in place untill the new one comes in. the car should be leaving my place in sept and going to a friends who is a mechanic to work on utill it passes the saftey cause i dont know how to do any of the other small things that need done i will take some pics and post them soon

i have started a new job working nights so i have neglected my car by not working on it so hopefully this week i will get some work done to it

the car is sitting in the grauge right now untill the end of the week i have done some little things to it but nothing big i am sending it to a good friend who is a mechanic to meet the Canadian saftey standard so i can put it on the road i will get some pics when done!

well i dont know if i am behind on on time yet for my plan or not but i have the car back from greg (the friend who was going to fix it) it is now going up to my high school for me to work on i have to put a front seal in the tranny and hook the new spedo cable up nothing to big after that it is off to midas to get the exhaust done and then to get under coated we all know how winter is up here in canada and then to the barn for the winter thats all for now let you know how it works out and oh ya greg did the first burnout in it right before the seal went.

ITS ALIVE lol not really but it does run with the help of a new 750 edelbrock carb. As for the new seal in the transmission well if thats all it needed i would have been lucky but its a ford and as much as i am a total ford fan they can be a major pain in the ass. it turns out that the torque converter was shot along with the pump and modulator for the transmission so i had it fixed and that cost a bit more then expected. It was quite the job i had to take the header off and that was a mess in its self cause the headers are almost shot so i am having new ceramic coated ones made hopefully spring 2009, so i have put the new spedo cable in and made a bracket for the out side of it and the car moves now but with all the snow i have up here in this ice box of a country i cant really see what it will do but i cant wait until spring thats all for now could be a fair bit before i update again.

Well i have the new pictures of engine up and i have just recently fixed the washer fluid pump so the car is a go for safety inspection in the spring then the chrome is coming but first i am putting a msd box in the car thats all for now merry X-Mass

hey all its been too long sense i have been on here but with winter i have only been able to play around with a couple things. I now have my sound system in the car just waiting on the sub box and subs to put them in i have the gauges moved from under the glove box to under the deck and just other little things i am also starting to put the chrome on my baby and its starting to look like i want it to it is going for paint in a little less then a month and a half hopefully. i will post pics soon!! all that is left for saftey is to find the reverse lights and connect it to the one on the tranny and get the exhaust done i am waiting for a good dry day to do that so i get little salt ont he car. :)

well sense the last post i have done more then i wanted to. yeah thats right trouble again... but it was pervious owners mistake. i found out i had a crack in the intake so now a new Edlebrock intake sits on the engine also i did a compression test to find all cylinders amazingly low... also for the same reason to do with the previous owners the timming chain was not installed right so i replaced it also with a edlebrock double roller timming chain and have just gotten that back together now i am getting the rad refinished and i have also put on a pair of valve covers so new pictures commin soon

wow almost three months sense i have been on here i guess thats what work does lol. anyway sense i have been on there has been a major change in the car the engine has been rebuilt again to give more horsepower!!!

 

So after many trouble with the engine rebuild and being left high and dry by Ideal Supply who i now would never recomend to anyone for an engine rebuild, fist the camshaft went out of the car due to a torque spec not being followed, so after much difficulties i had that fixed and then they never replaced the intake gasket with it so commin home from the trailer i pulled out to pass someone and the engine cut out on me cause it blew the gasket out the sides of the intake but it all fixed now and sleeping for the winter but i have started a collection of parts for the spring, today i picked up the weld in subframes and in the next little while i am going to be getting a 4 inch cowl induction hood for it

well it has been over a year sense i have been on here, sadly not much has happened with the car UNTIL these last couple weeks.I gathered a parts collection over last winter and in the spring took the car to the garage i was working at to start putting them on. Shortly after putting the car there it was broken ito and the engine was stripped so after a 2 month battle with the insurance comapny i recived some money and am now just finishing up putting the motor back together but thats life i guess. in the last day or so i have got the new hedman hussler hedders on!! sounds amazing and now i am woking on a custom exhaust because midas did a brutal job the last time it went there. i have also got the wiring harness totally rebuilt around the motor new wires and connections done right this time unlike when the motor swap was done with the second owner! the sub frame connectors will likley be on next week and then i am going to start stripping the car for the body job!! thats all for now, i will be back soon with pics!
