The truck was purchased stock in 2004 by my dad. It was a project vehicle and was my gift for my 16th birthday. Approximately $16,000 was put into it, including the cost of the vehicle.
Upgrades include Skyjacker 6" suspension lift and steering stabilizers, 3" body lift, 44" Super Swamper TSLs, 15x10 Mickey Thompson Classic II rims, Bushwacker fender flares, custom tow hooks and mudflap brackets, new 5 speed transmission/gears and new exhaust system. Everything's pretty much new except for the engine and the body. There's some rust on the body but that just makes it look meaner, Right?
The reason behind the GMC on the hood of the Ford is because, what I was originally supposed to get was a 1953 GMC pickup. The truck was taken to the junkyard and that piece was all that we had left of it. We put it on the F-150 as a sort of tribute.
A few months ago, the truck was involved in an accident. The rear-left wheel fell off while I was driving, due to faulty lug nuts. The bed was somewhat torn apart and needed to be repaired. The sad part about it was that when the accident happened, 'Free Bird' was blasting through the radio as it was getting loaded up on the tow truck. "If I Leave Here Tomorrow, Would You Still Remember Me?"
I got the bed fixed since the accident and it looks brand new. A new bumper was also put on with it. What sucks is that the engine went a few days after everything was fixed, so I'm still in the process of dealing with that...
The truck has now been sold to someone out of province. The good thing is that I will never have to actually see someone driving MY truck.
