UPDATE!!!
Well, The Mini has been neglected for quite a while.
A lot has happened in my life in the last year and a half.
I Switched jobs, and there was a third addition to the family. Benjamin Adam was born in November of 2007.
I also had a few other summer projects that took up quite a bit of my time including a new pool, new deck and new shed in the back yard.
With the new job, my previous means of transportation (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2545931 ) just could not handle the additional commute so a new vehicle was sourced. Of course I could not leave it stock so I had to tweak that a bit as well.

On top of that, another older project was also being neglected so, with the help of my 4 year old son, we took care of that one as well:

That being said, I am finally focusing on the Mini again.
My goal is to have it rolling and in paint by the end of the summer.
I've come to realize that the Mini was not built as a precision instrument. The panel gaps are TERRIBLE and I just cant leave it like that. I spent the last 3 hours filling the gaping cavern along the front edge of the drivers door. I actually had to add almost 1/4" of steel to fill it up properly.
I also spent a bit more time working on the sheet metal under the hood to delete the heater.
And changed the hood to open forward.
I then put a little attention towards the neglected rear end. Ain't she purdy!?!?!?!
This is how she looked before the work began.....
And the work began...............
A little better!
Now the other side! Not much better!
Now I have a little to do on the rear window......
