This is my new project. It's an '88 IROC-Z with a 383 crate motor stuffed into it. I bought the car on 10/30/06 for 1,000 dollars. The previous owner wasnt much of a car guy and was sick of all it's problems. The car didn't run when i bought it, and the guy couldnt tell me any useful info because he wasnt mechanically inclined. I just made sure it would turn over, and took it home. After a little fiddling around I got it running...piss poorly. The car was running on 19lb injectors (later found out through all the paperwork saved over the years that it was originally a 305/5 speed car) and no changes to the computer what so ever. The car was also around 2 qts low on oil and 3 qts low on tranny fluid. The radiator was also empty, so i knew this car wasnt taken care of at all. I proceeded to do a full tune up, yanked the intake and cleaned all of the parts, threw in a new thermostat, added 30lb injectors and paint most of the engine bay. Once running again, i ordered a new tune from pcmforless for a temporary fix until i could strap it to a dyno. While waiting for the tune, i gutted the interior to make way for a new carpet. Soon after recieving the tune, the car began firing water out of the exhaust like a garden hose. Upon checking the oil and finding it milky brown, the car was parked and off came the heads...blown head gasket. This is pretty much where i am right now. I just got the heads cleaned up and i am waiting for new arp head bolts to arrive so i can put her back together, hopefully all will go well and i will have her running again soon.

When i first got her home and somewhat cleaned up
