Page 1: Intro
Page 2: Where we're at with the project

This CarDomain page is going through a major revamp.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to put any money into my car, as registration and bills have gotten in the way. However, I am getting another job very soon and I will be able to get started on my project. The Miata will be parked after I buy another car as a beater, and will not be driven again until most of the car is finished.

The end goal is what I like to call "A classic look at a modern roadster." Basically this means that I will install a lot of tasteful exterior and interior modifications to flesh out the "classic sports car" that the Mazda Miata portrays. This means some older Mazda badges in the front and rear, fender mirrors, all-red taillights, classic bucket seats and gauge faces, to name a few. Essentially, this car is going to look like it came right off the show room floor in 1960, save for the EFI and 5-speed. :)

Of course, I have performance in mind as well. Handling will be taken care of, as this is the car's best attribute. A Tein SS coilover setup, Flyin Miata front and rear sway bars, and various chassis stiffeners are going to be in the mix. In terms of straight line speed, I plan on building a spare 1.6l engine. Along with a good intake and exhaust combination, I plan on having somewhere between 120-130rwhp under my right foot. It may not sound like much, but it's a good jump from the 93rwhp the car came with stock, and it's more than enough for a car that is 2200lbs.

I know talk is cheap and I have a pretty good sized project ahead, but i'm looking forward to it, and now that I will have the financial capabilities, I can get started.

Thanks for looking.
