-In result of jumping my truck at the Pismo dunes, I ended up cracking the axle housing in 3 spots, which made the axle seem like it was going to cave in. So i went to the local junk yard and pulled another dana 44 out of a 1985 Ram Charger. Which was great because the new axle was locked by hubs, unlike my old axle which was locked by vacuum that came from the motor (no good). The only down fall is that the axle i pulled came with 3.22 gears, and my truck came with 3.55s. So now im just gonna save up to put 4.56s front and rear.
-Primed and painted.

-PRO COMP 6 degree shims, WARN manual locking hubs, EDGE brake pads, New tie rod ends, new tie rod shaft, custom brake line bracket, PRO COMP steering stabilizer, and 9/16ths U-bolts. Everything else i just took apart, cleaned, painted, and put back together. Sometimes the cheaper route is better.

-All the new and restored parts made for a great looking axle.

-This is the bracket i made to hold down the line onto the axle without having to drill any new holes. I just found some extra steel in the garage, and the spacer is from a shock bushing spacer just cut to size. You gotta be creative to save a little money.

-Now with the gear oil in, brakes bled, tires on, and everything double checked, im ready to go.
-The powder coating was done by Visalia Powder Coating of Visalia Ca, which included the tie rod and steering block.
