    Thanks for the words on Big Ugly. If they had made a 3/4 ton Blazer I'd probably still have that thing. As far as the shocks go, look into Rough Country/Heckethorn's Nitro 9000's. They're nitrogen charged monotubes similar in design to Bilsteins. They aren't as high performance as Bilsteins but they go for $33 each from JCWhitney. If you want all out performance I vote Bilstein.

    For your buildup, I wouldn't mess with the 6 lug stuff, spend the extra and do it right the first time, but for simplicity I'd go with the Ford 60/GM 14/np241 setup.
