There are a lot of very inexpensive mods to do out there to make the car more visually appealing. Most of them are interior mods, which is great since when your driving you have an interior that is a beauty to look at. Some of them just requires creativity on your part. As for the exterior, nice rims really change the stance of your car. A set of rockers for the side profile, rear diffuser is the only thing I add to the rear bumper, and an aggressive front bumper...defintely will transform from stock to rock. The small stuff are the side markers, tail lights and headlight covers (unless you upgrade to the clear halogens or the litronics). Join some of the forums out there, the amount of DIYs...quite a few. You'll learn a lot about your car too in the process, and fun.

Be careful with lowing the boxster... it can become very expensive to do it right. You can always just toss some lowing springs on it but then your camber, and toe will be off and the spring rate to shock might not be a good match leading to a faster looking car but in the end a slower one. I think the boxster is to quiet from factory. A exhaust system to make it pure ( but not scream like a rice rocket ) should get some attention. Also, getting ride of the nasty yellow on the taillight, side markers and front lights makes a huge visual difference. Make the car look newer then it really is. If you can afford it a good, aggressive front bumper can really up how fast you boxster looks. There are facelifts that will convert the look of the front end to the newer boxsters as well.

first thing you need to do is get bigger wheels, at least 18". get rid of the orange side markers, get some after stock smoked ones instead, and try lowering it by 1" at least. then try to find a reasonably priced aero kit, that will really make all the difference. good luck on modifying your baby.
please take a look at mine
