I've loved these trucks since I was a kid,(back when Ma Mopar was still producing them). My truck is a 75 Dodge Power Wagon and it originally came with a 225 slant 6 (a previous owner swapped in the 360 V-8). She has a 727 TF trans. and an NP203 (full-time) T-case. The axles are Chrysler 9.25 (rear) and Dana 44 (front) with 3.55's for gears and a LS unit in the rear end. Pretty standard stuff really. It now has 2" AAL's in both front and rear and sits level. The tires are 31x10.5x15" Sumitomo All-Terrains that are mounted on a set of black steel Cragar rims. I'll be taking pics of the new tires and rims shortly along with pics of the engine removal and overhaul, etc.
I'm in the process of overhauling the engine. What I thought was just a stock, middle 70's, 360 turned out to be a 1976 cast 360 bored .040" over with basicly stock heads. The cylinders are in need of boring and can only go .020" larger. The engine will end up being a 372 CID small block. My plan is to install an RV cam and lifter set, install a set of modified cast iron 360 heads along with a set of headers and 2.5" exhaust system, and replace the 2bbl carb/intake with a 4bbl carb/intake. Pics on page 2.
I am also overhauling the transmission so I don't end up doing it later. A new torque converter and a shift improvement kit will be included in the overhaul. Currently the trans. is halfway disassembled. Pics are on page 4.

New rotors and hubs.
Called Summit Racing and ordered a set of Poly body mount bushings. Got the truck cab unbolted and ready to install the new bushings.
New cab bushings are in now so I figured it's time to install the new floor pans. I didn't weld them in this time. I cleaned up the mounting surfaces and used a high quality gutter/seam sealer to glue them in place. I then drilled holes and installed pop rivets to hold the pans solid. I'm planning to go over the entire floor with spray on bed liner and then a carpet kit. This floor should last the rest of the truck's life!
Driver side floor pan installed.
Pic of the passenger side floor supports before the pan is installed.
Floor pans before the install. Got then from JC whitney. Not bad quality.
Cleaned up and painted the interior (doors and dash) white. Here are some pics.
Dash put back together.
New carpet is now in. What an improvement!
9/14/07 Update: The old fleetside bed is pretty beat up and I wanted to replace it. Bought a stepside bed a month or so ago and have been working on it. A buddy came over and helped me swap beds today.
Stepside bed installed.
I'll be installing a wood floor soon. Until then this is what the floor looks like.
New wood bed floor made from 3/4" Birch plywood treated with Thompson's water seal.
Had a bad filler neck seal on the gas tank and couldn't fill the tank above 1/2 full or the cab would smell like gas. Found a new seal on Ebay and bought it. Here's a pic of the old and new seals.
Tank fill hole after removing old seal.
New seal in place.
Went shopping and came home with a new grille, bumper, and cowl for the ole beast. Now she looks like a 73 Dodge.
Pics from a little trail ride I took today. (2/13/08)
This area is a bit muddy and nasty but the truck made it thru easily enuff.
My female Black Lab "Layla". She loves riding.
Looking back down the hill towards the muddy section we came thru.
Tires caked with mud.
Climbing the muddy hill as seen from behind the wheel.
Parked and letting the dog do her thing.

Warmer weather is here and I am able to tear into the dash for the wiring harness replacement. (3/2/08)
New dash wire harness, bought from Dodge Connection in Florida.
Here's the "Rat's Nest" of wires which was the old harness. I'm also installing a new turn signal/hazzard switch harness and the old one is in the pic too.
Wires for the ignition switch harness. I've got a new one coming. Someone cut this one up.
New fuse box installed.
New harness installed in dash.
New Turn sig/hazzard switch/harness.
New bulkhead connector installed. Kinda dark but it's there.
Ordered new engine and headlight wire harnesses. BTW all these major harnesses are Military Surplus equipment. They are brand new parts left over from the 70's and 80's, when the military used Dodge trucks as their work horses. These were made by Mopar and are basicly "plug & play". If you buy a Painless or other brand harness, I'm pretty sure the connectors will be all GM stuff and will require modification. I saved a bundle going with Mil. Surplus and it is simple to install.
New Eng. Harness.
New Headlight Harness.
Due to the old original turn signal housings being in sad shape, I'm replacing them with a set of really sweet ones from a salvage yard truck. Even have the factory connectors on the wires, which is more than I can say for my old ones.
