Well everybody I've been making moves with my LT-1 project and i gotta say its fun but a money pit at the same time. I never had plans of restoring/upgrading the car as much as i have done this far. The thing that keeps coming up is that i constantly keep adding additional mods to the car but i will try to cut back somewhat in an effort to stay on schedule to complete the swap this year.
Here we go, some new action and parts. It really feels good posting these pics becuase the before and after shots are just amazing. No more talk these few pics will speak for themselves.
BEFORE: STOCK THROTTLE BODY AND INTAKE

AFTER: INTAKE POWDER COATED IN 2 COATS OF BLACK AND 1 COAT OF CLEAR BAKED AT 400 DEGREES. THE "TB" HAD THE SAME TREATMENT ALONG WITH THE FUEL LINES IN NEAR CHROME FINISH & THE "TB" WAS PORTED TO 52MM WITH NEW GASKETS AND O RINGS FOR MY INJECTORS. NEW HARDWARE AND POLISHED TOP PLATE WHICH I'LL LEAVE FOR A LITTLE BIT BUT I DO HAVE THE BLACK LT1 PLATE TO INSTALL. FUEL RAILS CAME OUT PHENOMENAL, THE POLISH IS EXCELLENT AND THEY REALLY REMIND OF MY CHROME DRUMS WHEN I FIRST GOT THEM. COMPARING THE STOCK DULL TO THE POLISHED FINISH IS NIGHT AND DAY.
MY BOY ISAAC TOOK GOOD CARE OF ME, HE EVEN SHAVED THE AIR FOIL DOWN SO I'LL HAVE SMOOTH AIR FLOW INTO TB. THIS IS THE MAIN REASON I DONT MIND SPENDING THE EXTRA DOLLAR ON THIS BUILD. I COULD HAVE RATTLE CANNED THIS SETUP MYSELF WITH NO PROBLEM BUT I KNEW I COULDNT ACHIEVE THIS QUALITY WITHOUT HELP FROM THE PROS
HERE IT IS, LIKE A NEW PAIR OF SHOES (FRESH OUT THE BOX)! UPS JUST DROPPED IT OFF, NO POLISHING DONE, NO WIPE DOWN SO IT CAN ONLY LOOK BETTER LATER ON.

I JUST HAD TO SEE WHAT THE COMPLETE SETUP WOULD LOOK LIKE

FELPRO GASKET FOR INTAKE
BRAND NEW DRIVESHAFT SAEFTY LOOP I BOUGHT FROM ANOTHER G-BODY GUY ONLINE. IT WAS NOT IN THE PLAN TO BUY YET BUT FOR $40, I THINK I GOT A GOOD DEAL.

MOTOR SWAPS AND EXHAUST GO HAND TO HAND SO I HAD TO DO IT. PYPES G-BODY X-PIPE EXHAUST KIT 2.5".

WHEN IT COMES TO MUFFLERS I HAVE TO SUPPORT MY STATE AND REP CALI WHILE IM SMASHIN ON THE GAS SO 40 SERIES FLOWMASTERS IT IS. FLOWMASTER CORPRATE OFFICE IS LESS THAN 1 HOUR AWAY FROM ME!

Here we go my most recent buy for the cutty. 1985 Olds 442 8.5 10 bolt open rearend with 3.73's. I plan to upgrade this with a NEW Eaton 3 series limited slip posi unit, polyurethane bushings, stainless steel brakes lines, gasket, chrome differential cover and some POR-15 treatment to wrap it all up. I'm not sure if my chrome drums on my 7.5 will swap over to the 8.5 so a test fit will go down when i pull my old rear out. The
In these top 3 pics the rear is a little bit dirty

All cleaned up now in the next 3 shots you can see the small difference. The weather has been pretty good so hopefully tomorrow i"ll be able to give it that POR-15. To clean it up i just used engine degreaser, simple green, water hose, putty scraper and a wire brush

DAY 2, i LAYED DOWN 1 COAT OF THE POR-15 AND THE TRANSFORMATION STARTED. ANOTHER COAT TO GO AND THEN ONTO THE UPGRADE OF PARTS I MENTIONED BEFORE. WHEN I PULLED THE COVER THE OIL WAS STILL NICE AND FRESH, NO METAL SHAVINGS OR ANYTHING INSIDE, JUST A NICE CLEAN 8.5 THAT WAS A DIRTY ON THE OUTSIDE.
