MY06 Regal Blue Subaru Impreza 2.0R.

Imprezher's 2006 Subaru Impreza

I have had the Impreza since late September 2006. There were only 112 Regal Blue Impreza 2.0R sedans brought into Australia, and now the colour is no longer being produced by Subaru.

The reflections that you can get out of the Regal Blue are awesome. I love my vehicles to have a mirror finish!

17" Prodrive P7 Rims (made by Speedline in Italy) with 215/45/17 rubber. I picked up the rims (from Prodrive themselves, thanks Dan!) when I was in the USA for an extended period of time and had them fited as soon as I got back home.

This was before:

This is with the new PRODRIVE P7 Rims:

Front and rear STI replica strut braces to improve the handling characteristics and reduce body roll. Turn in and cornering have dramatically improved. These were only installed in January so they are a very new modification.

Upgraded front speakers with 6.5 Inch VDO Super Slims. New tweeters behind door handles has heightened the sound stage somewhat and the sound produced is far cleaner and less muddy. The increase in higher freqs is amazing and the front stage sounds much more refined. Factory sub under front drivers seat has substantially increased bass output and fills in that void of the fcatory setup.

Momo Gear Shift (thanks SWMBO)and have had this for some time now.
No other changes planned for the interior as it already has the WRX interior.

I have recently lowered the car to get rid of the dreaded wheel arch gap and bring it down to a reasonable height since putting the new rims on. Lowered 30mm all the way round, maintaining the front rake. Lowering springs used were Whiteline.

There is a noticeable differnce in body roll, and the ride is actually smoother than OEM. Cornering and steering responsiveness is greatly improved. Overall makes the car look better and handle significantly better.

Things to come:

Whiteline sway bars
Upgrade rear speakers
MY06 STi replica front lip

The 2.0R here is DOHC and has the AVLS also. Pretty punchy above the 4000rpm mark and runs up to red line smoothly at 7500rpm. We get the WRX sports seats in the 2.0R here which I dont think that you guys did because of airbags.

The grills were easy to install considering i had the bumper off to have it replaced and painted (damn parking lots). it would probably be a little harder if it was installed when i put the grills in. the 2.5i here has 173hp from the factory with the iAVLS (active valve lift system). does the 2.0 have it, and is it DOHC or SOHC? also where are the fender markers located, how far from the bottom and side of the fender?

Yeah I like the fender markers too. Whiteline stuff over here is a reasonable price, and given that they are produced here, really dont cost a lot to ship. They are also very good quality as well.

The front fender markers are awesome, we didnt get them here in USA. I thought about adding some aftermarket ones but havnt gotten around to it really. Also wich i could get the right hand drive. Do you get Whiteline stuff cheap over there?
