Here are some pics of our slightly modified 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe Z71.

collopyba's 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe The stock pic was taken a couple days after we got it although it didn't stay stock for long.

collopyba's 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe We added some American Racing 22" Prism Wheels and Nitto 420s Tires in the spring of 2006. In this picture, you can see many of the changes we've made so far. The Escalade Roof Rack, Escalade Black and Chrome Handles, APC LED in the rear and clears in the front.

collopyba's 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe Here's what it looked when we had the stock wheel back on it. We had just swapped out the stock Z71 roof rack and was replaced with an Escalade Chrome Rack.

collopyba's 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe We installed a Street Scene Generation IV Front Bumper Cover/Valance. We were able to re-use the stock Z71 fog lights but we needed to fabricate a set of brackets. We added a set of Euro Designz 8000k HIDs in the stock foglight. At the same time, we installed 8000k HIDs in the headlights too. We later swapped them out with a set of X2020 HIDs. Pics to come later..

We picked up the Chrome Street Scene Lower Speed Grille inserts originally thinking it would match the Street Scene Chrome bowtie we had a slight change in plans. We'd decided to lower grilles powdercoated to match the Black Chrome Main Grille. It's amazing how close the color is now.

collopyba's 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe We removed the rear bumper and went with a Street Scene Roll Pan. It really finished off the look of the rear now.
Here you can see the Escalade High Mount 3rd Brake Light and Rear Window, the Escalade Rear Roof Vents and the APC LED Brake Lights. We recently had some exhaust work done as well. We removed the Magnaflow muffler and replaced it with a Flowmaster 50 SUV.

collopyba's 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe We replaced the Z71 Assist steps with a set of Escalade Running boards. We had the stock Z71 Fender Flares and Cladding filled, smoothed and painted to match the rest of the vehicle. This was definitely worth the money.

collopyba's 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe This is what she used to look like.

collopyba's 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe How's she looking now? Be sure to rate my ride!

At some point, we'll post pictures of the interior. We swapped out the gauge cluster with a Silver Escalade one with the transmission temp gauge from JP Customs. We replaced the stock black and red needles for satin and blue (from US Speedo) to match the lights on the cluster. Added a Black Cherrywood interior trim kit and replaced the stock black door handles with Escalade Chrome ones. Replaced the (non functional) stock headrests with Denali articulating ones (these move front to back in addition to up and down). We replaced the stock 6 disc changer w/ an TNR Navigation. We replaced the stock Bose amp w/ an Escalade Lux Amp.. Katzkin interior is on hand but not installed (yet). and much much much more... Stay tuned...

We had it custom tuned by Justin at Black Bear Performance. If you're thinking about tuning it, give Justin a call. Justin's a top notch guy who really knows how to tune GM Vehicles... We added an AEM Brute Force Intake too.

We lowered the vehicle w/ a set of Eibach 3" Lowering Coils and cranked down the stock torsion keys. We also replaced the stock Tennaco shocks w/ Bilsteins (yellow/blue) and added a set of Belltech shock extenders. At some point, we'll swap out the stock torsion keys with a set from a 3/4 Ton Chevy. This will give us more control to lower the front end. We have replaced the stock sway bars w/ Eibach Sway Bars. We decided to replace the 22" wheels with a set of 20s and the ride is so much better now.. More pics to come once it's cleaned up.
